Overall Aims:

-To enable learners, all of whom have self-identified as experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate mental health issues, to acquire the basic skills of tapestry weaving, to explore and develop their creativity through a textile craft and to be able to focus on creative activities to enhance their mental health and wellbeing;

Activities from Discovering Potential (Thinking-Getting-Keeping) will be embedded in a range of teaching and learning activities;

-To empower course participants to engage in and maximise their learning opportunities whilst supporting them to share experiences and build relationships in and outside of the classroom;

-To create a welcoming and safe environment, facilitate learning, encourage and stretch learners/volunteers, promote collaboration and creative self- and peer-feedback.
