Summer Internship

2012Summer training course from 18th Jun 2012 to 8th Aug 2012 at Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC) and attend HSE induction for OETC

Activities done in the course:

  • Preparing Payment Process Application sheet (PPA) for approved invoices through Oracle Financial System.
  • Contacting Customers through email informing them about their delay and penalty amount.
  • Preparing the petty cash and closing reports on a monthly base and preparing monthly accruals statements of unpaid invoices and regular monthly OPEX Contracts (invoices ends in a year or less and related to operation expense the normal and everyday expenses of the company that includes electricity bills, water bills, internet bills, salaries, petty cash, etc.
  • Maintaining a proper filing system and scan documents for easy financing records.
  • Making release of money for purchase orders in line with the existing contracts.
  • Checking CAPEX invoices (invoices for more than one year and related to the company’s capital projects expense, equipments, projects’ contracts and OETC electricity stations) with bills of quantity as per contract terms and check for Cum Damage report for some of them.
  • Dragging information from Oracle to prepare the financial statements of the company through Microsoft Excel.
  • Calculating and preparing the invoices to claim the company’s customers.

2007 Enjaz Program:

The idea was to create a student business company (product, or service), and the competition was between some students in some specific high schools.

2006Chosen by Ministry of Education, British Council and HSBC Bank to participate in a program called (Star School Project) in the College of Banking and Financial Studies to learn about banking, IT, presentation skills, (English) reading and writing.
