Piedmont Sports Hall of Fame
Criteria for Eligibility and Selection
Nominees to the Piedmont Sports Hall of Fame shall meet the following criteria:
Athletes who have competed with “unusual distinction” in one or more PHS sports while attending Piedmont High School or Millennium High School are eligible for consideration. The test for “unusual distinction” is made by comparing the performance of the person under consideration not only with other contemporaries, but also with athletes who performed throughout the history of athletics at PHS.
Athlete nominees to the Piedmont Sports Hall of Fame shall meet the following criteria:
-Graduate of Piedmont or Millennium High School
-Attended PHS or Millennium for at least 2 years in grades 9-12
-At least 5 years since graduation from PHS or Millennium
-Excelled in PHS athletics while a student at PHS or Millennium
-Demonstration of integrity, character, citizenship, success, leadership and community involvement during high school career and beyond
Coaches, Administrators, Community Members who have contributed significantly and with “distinction” to PHS Athletics are eligible for consideration.
These nominees to the Piedmont Sports Hall of Fame shall meet the following criteria:
Coaches
-Coached a sport at PHS
-Demonstration of integrity, character, citizenship, success, leadership and community involvement during high school coaching career
-No longer coaching at PHS
Administrators
-Served as an administrator in the Piedmont Unified School District
-Positive impact on the PHS athletic program
-Demonstration of integrity, character, citizenship, success, leadership and community involvement during high school administrative career
-No longer an administrator in the PUSD
Boosters/Community Members
-Resident of Piedmont for a significant number of years
-Demonstration of support for the PHS athletic program
-Positive impact upon the PHS athletic program
