Escambia Sheriff’s Office Arrests 2 in Car Burglaries

Pensacola, Fla. – Escambia Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested two juveniles in connection with at least four car burglaries which occurred in the early morning hours of August 1, 2013. Shortly after midnight, Escambia Sheriff’s Dispatchers received a call from a caller stating that a vehicle burglary had just occurred and the victim was chasing the suspects down the road. Deputies arrived to the 1800 block of Wareham Way in Cantonment where they made contact with a resident who advised that the victim had chased the suspects in the direction of Hwy. 297A. One of the suspects, 17-year-old Marquis Derrell Bryant, was quickly apprehended. A K9 track was conducted which led to the arrest of the second suspect, Lakendrick Jiles Holmes, also 17. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had burglarized at least three other vehicles prior to this incident. Kudos to K9s Dasty and Ewan for their hard work!
