Remember, it is not your boaters’ responsibility to keep your fish alive during our tournaments. If you want some tips to help keep your fish alive, Jared has some cards with some tips on them.
Discussed the results from the Tarpon tournament.
The next tournament is August 6th at Lake Reedy. Mr. Craighead will have directions to Reedy at the next meeting.
We hope to get our new club jerseys soon.
If the club wants to have any kind of classic, some club members must step up and set up a fundraiser or fundraisers.
Talked about a July john boat tournament.
Anglers are permitted to wear horse collar life vests in club events if they meet the correct Coast Guard specifications. However, the Coast guard does not consider a horse collar a life vest unless it is on your body. If you decide to wear a horse collar, you must bring a regular life vest on the boat with you.
The club would like to do another club service project this year. If any members have a suggestion for a service project, please contact Mr. Craighead with your idea.
During any of our club events, if you get a nice picture of a fish please send it to Mr. Garand. Mr. Garand will be using those pictures to make a slide show for the 2016 fishing season.
If you lose your name cards for the tournaments, a fee for losing the card will be included in your next tournament fee.
The next meeting is Thursday, July 21st, 2015, at Elsa's Mexican Restaurant behind the McDonald's at Sunset Lane and US 41 (18450 Old US Hwy 41, Lutz, FL 33549), at 7 pm. The July meeting is a tournament meeting. If you want to fish the August tournament, you must be at the July meeting.
