Minimum Qualifications:
Math 1100: B’s or better in calculus with preference given to TNT students who have completed TNTX 1200 (or 1300) and students with high GPAs.
Math 1180: B’s or better in calculus with preference given to students with good grades in the introductory economics sequence and who are double majors or minors in business, economics, or finance, or pursuing the actuarial science certificate and with high GPAs.
Math 1680: A in Math 1680 or B or better in Math 3680 and a recommendation from a UNT Math 1680 or 3680 instructor. Preference given to students with high GPAs.
UGMT 1300: B’s or better in calculus with preference given to TNT students with prior experience as a UTA or USA.

***** ALL new UTA’s need a letter of recommendation from two UNT Math instructors.
***** ALL new 1680 UTA’s need at least one recommendation letter from their Math 1680 OR Math 3680 instructor.
Additionally:
  1. If hired for the semester, pre-semester orientation/meetings could be held before the semester starts or during the first week of class. If I do not attend the orientation/pre-semester meeting, then I will not be eligible to work as an undergraduate TA.
  2. If hired for the semester, I will be responsible for reading and adhering to the UNT Department of Mathematics Policies (as outlined at the orientation/pre-semester meeting, distributed in booklet form, and amended as necessary.)
  3. If hired and I am an International Student, I understand that it is my responsibility to adhere to International Dept./Visa policy of not working more than 20 hours per week.
  4. If additional training is required during the semester, I will attend these sessions as requested by my supervisor.
