Notice regarding filing-up of vacant /unfilled NRI quota seats (MBBS) in Government Medical Collages of the State for the academic session 2017-18.
In pursuance to the Government letter No. HFW-B(B) 15-18/2016-loose dated 9-08-2017, the vacant NRI quota seats in Government Medical Colleges shall be filled-up as Paid Seats under General category candidates, out of which one paid seat at Dr.Yashwant Singh Parmar Govt. Medical College, Nahan and two paid seats at Pt. JawaharLal Nehru Govt. Medical College, Chamba shall be filled –up from Children of Tibetan Refugee candidates as per merit drawn by the University on the basis of NEET-UG-2017 subject to availability of eligible candidates on the said merit list. The said remaining paid seats including left out paid seats of Tibetan Refugees shall be filled up from the HimachaliBonafide candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria of the prospectus meant for State Quota seats in order of merit drawn by the H.P. University on the basis of NEET-UG-2017 from those desirous candidates who had attended the first round of counselling held on w.e.f. 18.7.2017 to 26.7.2017 . The tuition fee for all such paid seats shall be at par with the fee prescribed for State Quota Seats in Private Medical College of the State.
At present in Dr. RPGMC, Kangra at Tanda , 1 seat , in Dr.Yashwant Singh Parmar Govt. Medical College, Nahan 12 seats and in Pt. JawaharLal Nehru Govt. Medical College, Chamba 13 under NRI Quota are lying vacant. The said seats shall be filled up amongst the General category candidates by the Centralized Counselling Committee during the 2nd round of Counselling scheduled to be held on 19.8.2017 at H.P. University Auditorium, Shimla in order of merit-cum-choice as per merit drawn by the H.P. University on the basis of NEET-UG-2017 from the already admitted candidates either in Govt. Dental College and private Medical /Dental Colleges or the wait listed candidates of the 1st round of Counselling. However, the list of such candidates with date of Counselling will be notified by the University on the University websites.
Note: The tuition fee for State Qutoa seats in private Medical College as mentioned in the Prospectus for Counselling for MBBS/BDS -2017-18 is Rs. 5, 50,000/- (per student per annum). However, the matter with regard to revision of fee structure of Private Medical College is under consideration at Govt. level. In case tuition fee will be increased, the same will be applicable to the candidates who will be admitted against the NRI quota seats in Govt. Medical Colleges as per the instructions of the Govt.
