Director, Stewardship

This s a part-time position, reporting to the Rector. As with all part-time employment, there will be times when the work load is heavier – launching the annual appeal – and lighter – summer months.

The Stewardship Director encourages and empowers parishioners on their spiritual journeys to embrace stewardship as a response for all that we are and all that we have. Responsibilities include the overall planning, organization, management and coordination of the church's stewardship programs including annual giving, major gifts/planned giving, and fundraising initiatives.

Annual Appeal:

·  Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Annual Appeal including working with Marketing Communications to develop and produce appeal materials.

·  Develop an Annual Appeal Chair and Committee with subcommittees as needed

·  Develop campaign strategy, working closely with the Appeal Chair, Committee and the Rector

·  Ensure there is a system in place for accurate, complete and current membership records

·  Oversee implementation of the Annual Appeal

·  Create appropriate donor acknowledgements

·  Report results to the Rector, Wardens and Vestry

Legacy Giving:

·  Responsible for the Arbor Society membership and growth.

·  Work with the Asst. Director of Marketing Communications on targeted marketing initiatives and materials for the Arbor Society

·  Work closely with the Chair of the Arbor Society to strengthen giving

Fundraising:

·  Responsible for the approval of all fundraising activities at Christ Church Greenwich and any assistance needed during the fundraising efforts.

·  Staff position responsible for the implementation of the Seabury Classic.

·  Responsible for all Foundation work, including the research of Foundations and overseeing the grant writing process.

·  Responsible for identifying private corporations that can support our efforts, and corporations that have matching gift policies.

General:

·  Administer Stewardship Budget

·  Attend Vestry meetings as needed or as required by the Rector

·  Attend all Finance Commission meeting

·  Attend staff meeting and all other meetings as needed or as required by the Rector

·  Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector
