  • Maintain the voice for EDCO for diverse audiences- business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders and residents
  • Initiate strategies to reach key audiences with compelling and innovative creative messaging
  • Exerciseyour writing muscles with everything from blog posts to publications to press releases
  • Make an impact within the Central Oregon community by helping “tell the EDCO story” and therefore making our region even better in the future
  • Flourish as part of a small, cohesive, talented, and accountable team of professionals where new ideas and ways of doing things are welcome
  • Demonstrate your awesome project management skills and ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously
  • Assist in the promotion and execution of EDCO events, including Central Oregon PubTalks, the Bend Venture Conference, the EDCO Annual Luncheon, the Civil War Rally & Auction, and many others.

What You Will Need:

  • Experience in a Marketing /Communications role with demonstrated success in the areas of PR, web content creation and management
  • Web and social media savviness with the desire to stay “leading edge” when it comes to new ways to communicate our message
  • Ability to do some serious sleuthing; this role researches a variety of information while developing content and publications. Time to wear your reporter and researcher hat!
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, and accountability; with an aptitude to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to be part of a fun, dedicated collaborative team that rolls up their sleeves to help each other when needed
  • Knowledge of the Central Oregon business environment that would help you “hit the ground running” would be a bonus
