Directions to Waterend Farm
From the North*
Exit the M5 at junction 13 and join the A38 heading south, signposted Bristol (and brown signs to Slimbridge WWT). After approximately 4 miles, turn left at the roundabout onto the A4135, signposted Dursley. After¾mile turn left into Box Road, signposted Cam and DursleyRailwayPark and Ride. Go past the railway station and after ½ mile Waterend Farm can be found on the left hand side, set back from the road on a lay-by planted with trees.
(* Advice for Sat Nav users – turn off/ignore your machine from Junction 13 and follow the directions above. Otherwise you will be directed down a narrow country lane and emerge on the wrong side of the farm!)
From the South
Exit the M5 at junction 14 and join the A38 heading north, signposted Gloucester (and brown signs to Slimbridge WWT). After approximately 8 miles, turn right at the roundabout onto the A4135, signposted Dursley. After¾mile turn left into Box Road, signposted Cam and DursleyRailwayPark and Ride. Go past the railway station and after ½ mile Waterend Farm can be found on the left hand side, set back from the road on a lay-by planted with trees.
From the East
Exit M4 at Junction 15 (Swindon).Join A419, signposted Cirencester. On the outskirts of Cirencester, join the A433 (signposted Tetbury).Go into Tetbury and join the A4135 (signposted Dursley).
** Follow the A4135 through Dursley town. You will start to see brown signs for the Slimbridge WWT (signs have picture of a duck on them!) and blue signs for M5. Follow these signs (still on the A4135), until you see a sign pointing to the right for Cam & Dursley Park & Ride Railway Station. Take this sharp right turn into Box Road. (If you cross a bridge over the M5 you have gone too far! Go along Box Road, past the railway station, over the railway bridge, and travel approximately 1/2 mile. Waterend Farm is on the left hand side, set back from the road on a lay-by planted with 5 trees.
Alternatively, the faster route is as follows:
Exit M4 at Junction 18. Join A46 (signposted Chipping Sodbury and Stroud). Continue on A46 until it is crossed by the A4135. Take the A4135 to Dursley, then follow the directions above from **.
By Rail
Cam & Dursley railway station is just ½ mile from the farm. Visitors can be transported to and from the station by prior arrangement.
