DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From the East:

Take 22 West. From Lewistown, it is about 30-35 miles to Huntingdon. As you come into the Huntingdon area, pass the Dairy Queen on the right side (you will have passed a DQ in Mount Union on the left side of the road, too; that's NOT where you turn) and take the fork to the right toward Huntingdon. This fork is just before a long bridge on 22 W.

Taking the right fork (there should be a sign taking you that way to Rt. 26 N) brings you into Huntingdon on Penn St. (past the pool) to a light at 2nd St. (intersection with Rt. 26). Go straight through the light and continue on Penn St. (this is also Rt. 26 S) until you come down a small hill behind a parking lot. At the light right before the railroad overpass (there is a mural there on the right), turn right onto 8th St., and go up the hill. Continue straight through the traffic light. This will merge you into Mifflin St. Follow Mifflin St. to 18th and turn right. One block ahead is Moore St. Continue with the parking section below.

From the Southeast: Take Rt. 322 W into Lewistown and follow Rt. 22 W to Huntingdon. Follow “From the East” directions above.

From the West: Take Rt. 22 East into Huntingdon. Just past the Walmart, take the right exit onto Rt. 26 N (a right turn at the light at the end of the exit ramp). Go under Rt. 22 and past the prison to the traffic light (this is the second light after you turn onto Rt. 26 N). Turn left, staying on Rt. 26 N. Go over the bridge. Just past the railroad overpass, turn left onto 8th St. Go straight through the light at the top of the hill (Washington St.). One block later, 8th St. will merge with Mifflin St. Follow it to 18th St. and turn right. One block ahead is Moore St. Continue with the parking section below.

From the Southwest:

Coming from just north of Bedford, PA, take I-99 N.

About 5 miles before you get to Hollidaysburg and Altoona, PA, take the exit for Rt. 36 N. Follow Rt. 36 N to Hollidaysburg. You will go over a railroad bridge just as you come into Hollidaysburg and then come to a traffic light at the intersection with Rt. 22.

Turn right onto Rt. 22 E. Travel about 27 miles (through Water Street, past Alexandria). Follow directions “From the West” above.

From the North:

From State College, follow Rt. 26 S, which will take you over Tussey Mountain between State College and Huntingdon. Follow Rt. 26 S about 20 miles: You will see signs for McAlevy's Fort, Jackson's Corner, Cornpropst Mills, and Donation. As you leave Donation, you will pass a cemetery on the right and go down a big hill. At the far end of the open space at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Cold Springs Rd. There is a sign there for the hospital, Huntingdon HS, and Petersburg (ignore the fact that it says to go straight to get to Huntingdon). Follow Cold Springs Rd. about 5 miles into town. Cold Springs Rd. makes a sharp left and becomes Moore St. This is the Juniata campus. Brumbaugh Academic Center (BAC) is on the right. Follow directions for parking below.

From the Northeast:

Come into Pennsylvania on Rt. 84 to Scranton. Connect with Rt. 81 S to Wilkes Barre. Then take Rt. 80 W to Belleville and get onto Rt. 220 S. At the interchange with Rt. 322, take 322 East. Get off in Boalsburg onto Rt. 45, and turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. Go through the light at Rt. 322 Business (S. Atherton St.) and travel several miles to a dead end. Turn left. This is now jointly Rt. 45 and Rt. 26 S. At the blinking light in the next little town (Pine Grove Mills), turn left to stay on Rt. 26 S. This will take you over the mountain. Follow “From the North” directions above.

From the South:

Follow Rt. 26 North into Huntingdon. Just past the Walmart, go under Rt. 22 and past the prison to the light. Follow “From the West” directions above.

PARKING (See attached campus map):

On-street parking: On Thursdays, you can park on 17th St., 18th St., Mifflin St. or Moore St. On Fridays, you can park on Mifflin St. or Moore St. but not on the numbered streets (it is street cleaning day).

Parking lots: There are three parking lots right near the corner of Moore St. and 18th St., TWO of which you can use. Please do NOT park in the lot by the Enrollment Center as that is reserved for potential students.

Option A, Library lot: The lot next to the library. From Moore St., turn onto 19th St. and immediately right into the lot. This lot is just across the street from Brumbaugh Academic Center (BAC).

Option B, BAC lot: The lot at Brumbaugh Academic Center (BAC), between BAC and the Enrollment Center at 18th St. From Moore St. between 18th and 19th Sts., turn into the lot. It is on the opposite side of the street from the lot in Option A.

Option C, Good Hall lot: If you cannot find a space in the lots above, go back to 18th St., and turn right onto Mifflin St. (it is one way except for this block). Go to the top of the hill and park in the gravel lot. On foot from here: To get to C225, walk down the hill and left into the alley just past the visible entrance to Brumbaugh. At the far end of the alley before it turns to the right and goes down the hill is a door to the building. Go in that door and follow the “If you have trouble with steps” directions below.

Option D,BAC Handicapped Parking: There is an alley between Mifflin St. and Moore St. that is accessible from 18th St. and from Mifflin St. There are two handicapped spaces in there, one on each level of parking. Take the higher one if it is open. Follow the “If you have trouble with steps” directions below.

______

ON FOOT AT JUNIATA (See attached campus map):

Brumbaugh is on Moore St. just above 18th St., opposite 19th St. Go into the building from the parking lot end (the left side as you face the front of the building), go up the steps to the second floor, and C225 will be about halfway down the hall on the left.

If you have trouble with steps, you can enter Brumbaugh from the back of the building. That will bring you in on the top floor where C225 is.

Enter through the door on the right at the corner of the building as you face into the handicapped parking spot at the top of the alley. This brings you in at the top of the stairway. Go out into the hall and turn right. C225 will be halfway down the hall on the right.

Bathrooms are located on either side of the water fountain just across the hall from C225.
