Directions to Friday Harbor
Your Summer Cruise aboard the SSS Odyssey will start and finish in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. You will find information below about several options to get to Friday Harbor.
Airport Shuttle to Anacortes
There is a shuttle from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. For schedule and fare information call 1-866-235-5247, or check online at: airporter.com. Walk-on passengers should arrive at the Anacortes Ferry Terminal at least 30 minutes prior to sailing from Anacortes to Friday Harbor.
Driving Directions from Sea-Tac Airport to Anacortes
From Sea-Tac Airport, allow a minimum of 2 hours driving time to Anacortes. From the airport, drive north to enter eastbound on highway 518. You will need to get on I-5 North, just follow the road signs. Take I-5 North for approximately 90 miles to state route 20. Take exit 230, turn left (West) at the light and follow the signs into downtown Anacortes. Turn left on 12th Street - the terminal is 4-5 miles outside town. Plan to arrive at least two hours before your ferry is scheduled to depart to allow time for getting your gear organized and parking your car.
Anacortes Ferry Terminal Parking
There are 1,265 spaces in three parking lots near the Anacortes Terminal. Seven days parking is about $40. There is a lower lot to the right of the tollbooths, closer to the terminal and the newly expanded parking area up a hill and to the left of the terminal.
Ferry Wait Time
A 2-hour advance arrival is advised for vehicle traffic. Walk-on passengers should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to sailing.
Ferry Schedules and Fares
Schedules are available on-line at Adult fares are $12.80. Youth fare (through age 18) is $10.25. Vehicle fares are $49.85 for a vehicle and driver. All fares are collected Westbound (Anacortes to Friday Harbor) only. Fares are as of last year and should be checked on-line.
Friday Harbor
You will be able to see the SSS Odyssey on the starboard (right) side of the ferry as you arrive in Friday Harbor on the ferry. You will be within walking distance to the ship. Dock carts are available to haul your luggage. If we know which ferry you will be on we will generally send an Odyssey crew member to meet you, help you haul your gear and show you the way to the ship.

There is plenty of shopping available for those last-minute items and souvenirs.
