Grade Level Concerns:

PK – Pre-k assistancewould be helpful during C-pals and walk through should not affect when testing. Half day pre-k classes have double the number of students and need assistance. Ms. Fuentes suggested that teacher engage students in centers while they test the students.

Too many inclement weather in which it only applied to pknot other grade levels. Belcher suggested that they bring them in to the hallway and read a book again.

Also bring in the students to early and teachers are not getting their full lunch hour. Ms. Fuentes reminded her they are entitled to 30 minutes.

Are we still getting computers for PK or until Sept.Upper grades got computers and pre-k has not received new teacher computers.

Wish listthanks for that and how do we get our money from the Halloween carnival with dora.

Supplies are not being used. please order cont. paper and handwriting paper, paints, we need these supplies in pk and other grade levels too. thank you PKMs. Fuentes asked Ms. Belcher to make a specific list and turn in the request. Ms. Cedillos suggested that a rep from each grade level get together with Dora and explain to her exactly what they need.

GT concerns: Too much going on after school and have to cancel a lot of times, for next year please consider going back to GT half of day. It would also help with testing,Friday library will be closed from 8-1pm for Torrance testing teachers who turned in their evaluations from the GT update will get AAarghbuchs thanks you Ms. Terrazas for a wonderful support in the GT update you also get AAargh bucks!!!!

Kinderteachers really like the activities coach is doing in the cafeteria instead of watchingTV in the locker room. Wewere wondering if cafeteria ladies can clean coolers in the hallway when it is cold so coach can use all the gym. Will speak with Martha

2. Counseling Lessons – Each section will get one guidance lesson per nine weeks.

3. Consistency with argh bucks and duty– teachers must be on time in order for them to receive an argh buck. Ms. Fuentes randomly checks the different stations.

1st – *some of the classes have had either 1 or 2 class counseling lessons since school started; are the lessons going to be made up or are they going to continue at this pace; should a calendar be used for the monthly lessons?

*when we have Student-Led Conferences PLC meetings should not be held on this day; we need our conference time to get ready for conferences (get folders, graded papers, etc. )Noted and taken care of

*G/T should notify teachers ahead of time when cancelling classNoted and taken care of

*the bilingual TIA is not serving the students as designated; she is being pulled out to test other grade level studentsThis is part of her job description. Ms. Alt will follow up with Ms. Benzanilla.

*we had many problems with the computers when we test on Istation; can the computers be checked as a whole?Work orders need to submitted in order for them to get fixed.

*is Mrs. Patton supposed to be serving our students? Does she have a schedule set in place?Ms. Patton does have a set schedule; however, she also helps with coverages much of the time.

*when we have Teacher Academy on Wed. why arestudents present? This includes Faculty Meetings; As long as the children are not a disturbance, there shouldn’t be an issue.

2nd –1. Counseling lessons-some have had only 2 so far.

2. Counseling forms sent in but students still have not been called for counseling.

3. PLS being held during Parent/Teacher/Student Led conference.Ms. Salas asked the rep to please provide the name(s) of the students who have not been called out. As far as she knows she has called all of them.

5. TIAs- being pulled out for testing

6. Next year's schedule PE and Lunch back to back if it could be changed. Ms. Fuentes and coach will revisit the schedules and see about possible changes.

7. PLS-being meaningful and quick sometime it's spent talking about other issues rather than purpose.

3rd – None

4th – None

5th –We have been noticing many allergies going around both students and teachers. Is there any way of having air ducts checked or maybe cleaned. Yes, we will speak with Manny to speak with the district.

-WIN Academy: If approved, would WIN Academy teacher be displacing a teacher in every grade level, every year.It is still in the works and more details are forthcoming

-Honor Roll: Is it possible to have some kind of recognition/praise other than just sitting at another table. Students want to sit at regular tables with friends; perhaps a different meal or dessert would make it more appealing. If the upper grade levels do not want to sit at the honor roll tables, it will be their choice. We can add a free dress pass.

-Lesson plans: Are so many lesson plans necessary? Super School, After School Tutoring, Daily, Saturday TutoringYes, due to title one requirements

-Tutoring Subs: This has not been an issue lately, but to avoid any conflict now that Saturday Camps are around the corner, is it possible to have a weekly "on call list" of those teachers not tutoring. Addressed above on direction 4.

SPED – no concerns
