Foot Locker Scholarship

Twenty Foot Locker Scholar Athletes will each receive $20,000 in college scholarship money. One of the twenty scholarship winners will be selected for the $5,000 Ken C. Hicks scholarship for demonstrating superior educational achievement, outstanding leadership and a true love of the game. Applicants must have a 3.0GPA or higher and must be planning to attend a four-year college or university. ND SCHOOL COUNSELING ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP:

Applicants must write an essay (500 words or less) describing their career plan and who/what helped them make that decision. One letter of recommendation must also be included. See counselors for more information.

The Rotary 4-Way Test Scholarship

This is a junior and senior local essay contest from The Rotary Club of Dickinson. Up to $700 in scholarship funds will be awarded. The winning entrant will then have the opportunity to win an additional $1,250 at the regional and district levels. The 500-1000 word essay must apply the principles of The Rotary 4-Way Test:

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

GE-REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

This is a senior scholarship for roughly 20 college-bound students who excel in leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship to receive $10,000 renewable scholarships for a total of up to $40,000 total per recipient. Michael Callahan Memorial Hockey Scholarship

This senior $300 scholarship was established by the Callahan family in honor of their son, Michael. It is awardedannually to a Dickinson High School male or female who is furthering his/her education at a college or university in the fall of 2018. Pick up an application with any counselor. Jack L. Carlson Memorial Scholarship

This senior $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Dickinson High School student who is planning to further his/her education. This scholarship was established by the Jack Carlson family to continue his legacy "of making a difference in the lives of young kids." Pick up an application with any counselor. Ruth Lenz Memorial Music Scholarship

This annual $1,000 senior scholarship is awarded to a Dickinson High School music participant who will be furthering his/her education at a college or university in the fall pursuing a career in the music field. Pick up an application from any counselor. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2018.

Seniors-this is a $500.00 scholarship for seniors who plan to attend a ND college. Students must also have a 2.5 GPA and must demonstrate community and school involvement in at least three activities. HSC Home Warranty Scholarship - $2,000 – 1 Award

This is a senior scholarship and is open to all high school seniors who are legal residents of USA. Apply at

DSU Merit Based Scholarships-apply at

CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP – $2200 PER YEAR - for seniors with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and 24 ACT score. Students are eligible for an additional $200 each year with a minimum of full-time classes and a 3.0 cumulative DSU GPA.

HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIP – $1,500 PER YEAR - for seniors with a minimum3.25 GPA and 22 ACT score. Students are eligible for an additional $200 each year with a minimum of full-time classes and a 2.75 DSU GPA.

CORNERSTONE SCHOLARSHIP - $1,100 PER YEAR- for seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 20 ACT score. Students are eligible for an additional $200 each year with a minimum 2.5 DSU GPA.

APPLEBEE's : APPLE AWARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Monthly winners will be announced and all of the monthly winners will have the chance to win one of three $1.000.00 scholarships at the end of the school year. Community members, educators, and parents are invited to nominate outstanding students for the Apple Award in their area; nominations can be submitted through the applecorecommunity.com website. Nominations are open for the first three weeks of each month. The top three nominees will be posted to the website for that final week and the public is invited to vote for the Apple Award Student of the Month for their city. The AXA Achievement Scholarship, sponsored by the AXA Foundation, provides scholarship awards of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000, with winners in every state nationwide. In addition, every winner’s high school will receive a grant of $1,000.

The program is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be United States citizens or legal residents and must have demonstrated ambition and self-drive as evidenced by an outstanding achievement in a school, community, or workplace activity. NORTH DAKOTA MENSA SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST:

Available to high school seniors who are attending college in 2018-2019. Winners will receive awards of $500 to $1,000 based on an online essay of 550 words or less describing their academic or career goals. Grammar counts, as does essay organization and clarity of writing. Consideration is not based on grades, academic programs, or financial aid. ELKS LEGACY AWARDS-Apply online at

Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Foundation will offer a total of 300 awards in the 2018 contest, an increase of 50 awards.

Who is Eligible?

For the 2018 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2015, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2015, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2018. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.

Wace Institutions Partnership Scholarship Co-op

Talk to your senior counselor if your are interested in a merit co-op scholarship from one of eleven institutions who are in this co-op partnership program. WACE encourages minority and female students as well as students interested in science, mathematics, engineering and technology (STEM) to apply. American Welding Society – Accredited Test Center-United Tribes Technical College/Welding Technology

United Tribes offers weld test track requirements and has gone through an inspection to insure that the facility is adequate for students and individuals who take the various weld codes tests they offer. Construction Laborers Education, Apprenticeship & Training Fund – Minn. & ND
