DHS Choir Trip Agreement for NEW YORK 2018

This TRIP AGREEMENT and $325 deposit are due by October 13th, 2017.

The Dublin High School music department is taking a trip to perform at the National Youth Choir Festival in New York and will be performing at Carnegie Hall. In addition to the performances the students will have four days of rehearsals with the festival clinician (Greg Gilpin), take in a Broadway show, and tour some of the sights NY has to offer.This is an optional trip that has no connection to a student’s grade or participation in the class.

Trip Cost: We are in the process of selecting the additional transportation to SFO, but we expect the trip to cost between $1,900-$2,200 per person. We will have an exact cost for you by the end of October. In the meantime we need to get a commitment form signed so we know how many students to plan for on this trip.

The company we will be working with to organize this trip is World Strides. They are a reputable group that organizes and facilitates trips for choirs nationwide.

Below is the payment schedule based on a total trip cost of $1,900 per person. The dates of collection are based on when we have to pay installments to World Strides for the trip. The final 2 payments may be adjusted once we have the final cost:

Airline Deposit and Broadway ticket: $325 is due October 13th, 2017

Payment of $525 is due November 1, 2017

Payment of $525 is due December 1, 2017

Final Payment of $525 is due January 20, 2018

We will be setting up a payment button on our website . If you choose to make the payments via credit card you will have to assume the 3% credit card fee. This will be reflected in your payment (roughly $16.50 per payment for October-January). If you are paying by check you can ask your student to bring in the payment in an envelope with their name on it and place it in the white mailbox in the band room. This mailbox is locked and we check it regularly every week. If you want to make cash payments please contact one of the treasurers to arrange this. We briefly discussed the Choir’s New York trip at the first music booster meeting on August 21st, Mr. Serpa then laid out the itinerary and costs at the second meeting on Sept 25th, we will have a meeting for Choir Parents and Students only, regarding this trip, on Monday October 9th, at 7pm in the Choir room.
