DEVIN AD– Official opening of the modernized factory in the city of Devin
OneofthemostdynamicdevelopingcompaniesandalsothebiggestcompanyotthebottledwatersmarketinBulgaria – DevinAD, opened officially its modernized factory in the city of Devin. The company successfully finalized its investment program for 2008, installing and running the latest production machines from leading European producers in its factory.
Theinvestments that DEVIN AD madeinnewproduction lines cost some 17 mln. BGN and turn the factory into one of the most modern factories for bottling water in the Southeast Europe. The company has installed 7 new production lines – the latest equipment available, brought by the leading European producers such as KOSME, KRONES, GAS and BARDI. The effect results in increasing the production capacity to some 44500 bottles per hour, as well as improving the efficiency of production, and exceeding a total annual capacity of 300000000 bottles.
By modernizing its factory, DEVIN AD changed all of its product packages of the mineral and spring water and for the very last time made innovations of the market, launching the one-of-its-kind Bulgarian flavored water DEVIN Fresh. Now DEVIN AD has the biggest product portfolio, comparing to all of its competitors on the Balkans, being also the only company in Bulgaria that offers people a choice of mineral and spring water.
DEVIN AD was established in 1992 as a limited liability company owned by local persons and DevinMunicipality. Since 1999, the company has been functioning as a joint stock company with 100% private capital. The main subject of the company's activity is bottling and sale of bottled mineral water, spring water and carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks. In 2006 the Austrian Soravia Group acquires 100% of DEVIN’s capital. At that time DEVIN AD already has its leading positions on the market, being also one of the biggest employers in the region of Smolyan. The company marks a dynamic annual growth, due to the adequate and innovative business and marketing politics. For the period of 2007/2008 DEVIN’s sales have grown up with 10%, as for previous periods it marks an annual growth of 24% for 2006/2007 and 37% for 2004/2005.
In 2007 DEVIN AD becomes a public company, listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia. The company’s capital is spread between Soravia Group (75%), DEVIN’s management (7%) and the Stock Exchange (18%). The company employs a total of 380 people, more of 300 of which are involved in its factory.

Devin JSC is found in 1992 as a limited company by physical persons and the DevinMunicipality. Since 1999 Devin became a Joint Stock Company with 100% private capital. Since the beginning of 2006 the company was acquired by Soravia Equity, which is owned by the Austrian Soravia Group.
The company’s main activity is bottling and selling mineral and spring water, fizzy and soft drinks.
Devin JSC owns a concession for usage of water from drillings 3 and 5 in the Devin region, the Rhodopes, where the natural waters “Devin” are being bottled. With its natural origin from an ecologically clean region, the mineral water “Devin” has a unique mineral consistency, nice taste and is suitable for everyday use.
The company bottles the unique spring water “Devin” with a license for usage of water for the Baldaran spring. Spring water “Devin” is pure mountain water from the Rhodope Mountains, with very little mineral content (82 mg/l) and low sodium content (4,5 mg/l). The combination of low mineralization and insignificant consistency of sodium ions is very rare; this is also the reason why spring water “Devin” is suitable for usage of people from all ages, even for babies.
Devin JSC is an employer to some 400 people, of which over 300 are in Devin.
In 2008 DEVIN AD totally modernized its factory at the city of DEVIN. The equipment is the latest available, imported from leading companies on the market Austria, Germany and Italy and turns DEVIN’s factory into one of the most modern factories in the Balkans.
The production cycle is fully closed and includes the production of bottles, bottling the water, branding and setting ready for distribution. It guarantees the high quality of the Devin’s brand.
The bottling company of mineral waters owns a private modern laboratory, which performs continuous chemical and microbiological analysis, in order to guarantee the desired quality from the process of production till the final, ready-to-use product. Devin JSC is ISO 22000:2005SGSSYSTEMCERTIFICATION certified.
Since the moment of its foundation by until now, Devin JSC marks a huge progress, as a result of the quality of production, well developed distribution network and adequate and innovative business strategy.
