COMPRESSORS
Patients are eligible for ADP (Assistive Devices Program) funding every 5 years for a new compressor. There are many types of compressors available depending on your needs. Pari has home units as well as units for travel. The Pari Vioshome unit comes with a Pari nebulizer and can be purchased through Medigas, Vital Air or ProResp. Another recommended compressor is the Devilbiss Pulmo Mate or Pulmo Aide. Either may be available at Medigas, Vital Air or Pro Resp.
Compressors have filters that should be changed regularly (every 3 months or more if home very dusty). Filters can be purchased at the same place as the compressor.
Each of these companies has many satellite offices. The main branch information is located below. Call these locations for a satellite office closest to your home. The customer service agents at these companies are not health care professionals and may not know what a compressor is therefore be sure to give the specific name of the compressor when calling.

NEBULIZERS:
We recommend using the Pari LC Star reusable nebulizer with mouthpiece. It is designed to improve aerosol delivery to the small airways. Treatment times may be as quick as 8-10 minutes depending on the volume being nebulized. They can be cleaned in the dishwasher or boiled to disinfect. If rinsed and cleaned on a daily basis, these nebulizers will last up to 6 months. At this time they should be replaced. The cost is $26.00.
The Pari LC Star reusable nebulizer can be purchased at the St. Michael's Hospital outpatient pharmacy.
