Course Profile

Targets
(credit points, subject knowledge, qualification) / The Bachelor semester called BE Ing. is an exchange semester, in which the various technical modules are held in English.
After completing an introductory week with inter-cultural training, students may choose classes out of the regular study opportunities offered by the various engineering disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or civil and construction engineering, to suit their respective studies in their regular universities
A German language course completes our programme.
Additionally, students obtain further skills by gaining experience in project management and other specific projects.
A max. of 30 ECTS per semester can be obtained.

Information about individual study plans / Before the course begins, an individual “Learning Agreement” will be signed. During the introductory week the students will receive additional advice, support and counselling and an individual timetable will be compiled.

Organizational and course content link between a language and subject semester / Preparation language course focusing on technical vocabulary
Additional German courses will be held during the semester and a tandem programme will be offered as further linguistic support tool.
Practical help and support / Orientation weeks involve practical help and organization with things such as a pick-up service, general organization with all practical necessities, a welcome party, inter cultural training, day trips, etc.
Accommodation in one of the student residential parks will be organized by the International Office.

The language centre will cooperate with the International Office to provide a tandem programme.
Is it possible to earn a German language certificate? / The TestDaF, which is an official certificate for German as a foreign language, can be taken at the HDU.
