IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The W.C.H.E.A. will celebrate its 20th birthday during July 2016 !!!
- Axel has been involved in ACE since 1988 – 28 years.
- Susan has been involved in ACE since 1992 – 24 years.
- The Annual CFAM (Culture Fair Abilities and Motivation) /NCLA (National Curriculum Linked Assessments) tests, will again be offered at our offices in Ceres during the July school holidays should there be a need for these tests to be administered.
I will add explanations and examples of these tests to the same e mail that this newsletter is attached to.
Four options are available, depending on the feedback we get from our parents.
- 1. We may plan to facilitate these assessments (and travel to the four regions, Fraserburg, Hartenbos, Robertson, Malmesbury) during the July school holidays. All interested parents (especially those of Gr. 3, 6 and 9 students) who are interested must confirm the names of the students that they request to be assessed before the end of April 2016. We will then take a final decision depending on the demand indicated.
- 2. Parents may decide to assess all Gr. 3, 6 and 9 students independently at a School Psychologist of their choice.
- 3. Parents may decide to contact the closest ACE school and organise directly with them to have their students assessed. This will depend on the school’s policy regarding students not enrolled in their school.
- 4. If the demand for these tests is not sufficient, parents may travel to Ceres to have these tests done at our offices during the July holidays.
Please remember that the WCED (Western Cape Education Dept.) requires an independent Assessment of all Gr. 3, 6 and 9 students, before registering them for the next school phase.
- Susan and I did some research with regards to students within the WCHEA who applied to different Universities during the last two years, and found that not a single student who applied with their CEC certificate, was not accepted at these institutions. The LORD surely does open the way before the students !!!
