DESPERATE ROBBER ARRESTED
The staff of PS Janakpuri, West District has arrested a desperate robber namely Vinod Kumar in case FIR No.512 dated 07.05.2014 u/s 392/411/34 IPC Police Station Mayapuri. The accused has been apprehended by one public person, the complainant Mansoor Ahmed R/o Ganesh Nagar, Tilak Nagar who is working in BPO Company Gurgaon. One chain and motorcycle used in crime have also been recovered in this case.
NAME & PROFILES OF THE ACCUSED
1.Vinod Kumar S/o Shishipal R/o L-47, Mangol Puri, Delhi. He is a desperate criminal involved in several cases of snatching, Arms Act, thefts etc. committed in different parts of Delhi. He was born on 14.09.1974. He got education upto 10thstandard. Later on he fell into bad company and married in 2004. After the death of his wife, he again married with another lady in 2008. He started committing crime in the year 2003 and subsequently kept on committing snatchings in the area of North West District, South West District and West District Delhi.

Vinod Kumar is a desperate criminal involved in several cases of snatching, Arms Act, thefts etc. committed different parts of Delhi.
RECOVERIES
1.One gold chain.
2.One motorcycle No. DL 10 SE 7468 used in committing crime.
INCIDENT AND OPERATION
On 07.05.2014 at about 12.20 PM, one Mansoor Ahmed who is working in a BPO company, Gurgaon was waiting for his friend in C-4-B Janak Puri Area. In the meantime, two persons in the age group of 35-40 years approached him on a motorcycle. One of them immediately robbed his gold chain. When Mansoor Ahmed tried to resist, his associate assaulted him and both tried to flee. The complainant Mansoor Ahmed retaliated and chased both of them. In this process, both the persons fell down from motorcycle. The complainant shouted for help and Ct. Deepak who was on QRT duty in the area of Janak Puri assisted him in apprehending the accused but his associate managed to escape.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation it was revealed that he was involved in number of snatching cases committed in the area of North West District, South West District and West District Delhi. The motorcycle used in the committing crime has also been recovered. Efforts are on to arrest his associate and recovered property.
The complainant Mansoor Ahmed is being suitably rewarded for his courage, presence of mind and will power in apprehending desperate robber.

NOTORIOUS BURGLARS ARRESTED
The staff of police station Paschim Vihar, West District has done excellent work by arresting a gang of burglars namely Noor Alam, Seikh Tahir, Seikh Aahit and Zarul Khan and worked out 07 cases of burglary relating to Police Stations Paschim Vihar and Kehav Puram.

INCIDENT AND TEAM
On 06.05.14 (morning) a call was received at PS Paschim Vihar at 1.35 AM regarding theft at H. No.11 Avtar Enclace, Paschim Vihar. The call was entrusted to SI Vikrant, who reached the spot. After reaching there he found one Noor Alam apprehended by Ram Dass, age 52 years, a Security guard with the help of public while they were trying to run after committing theft. Ram Dass while patrolling he noticed some movements of suspicious persons in the area. When he challenged them to stop they started running towards the road and after a short chase with the help of public Ram Dass succeeded catching Noor Alam but other three accused managed to escape. On the instance of Noor Alam one TFT (Monitor of Computer) was recovered. To nab the other 03 absconding accused a team comprising SI Shri Krishan, SI Vikrant, Ct. Sandeep, Ct. Pardeep & Ct. Sanjeet under the close supervision of Inspr. Arvind Kumar, SHO/Paschim Vihar has been constituted. Raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of remaining accused and they were arrested and stolen articles have been recovered from their instance.
INTERROGATION & MODUS- OPERANDI
During the interrogation of accused it revealed that the gangs members basically belongs to District Katihar Bihar and they always committed the theft during night hours. They always carry the Cutter and Screw driver for Breaking/opening the lock of Doors and mainly targeted the office or houses found locked during night hours. Still the accused is in police custody for one day.

TWO BURGLARS ARRESTED
AND CASE PROPERTY RECOVERED
The staff of Police Station Uttam Nagar, West District has arrested two burglars Sanjeev Kumar and Bilal and recovered 15 packets of electric cable wires from their possession and a case vide FIR No. 457/14 U/S 457/380/411/34 IPC dated 07.05.14 has been registered.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION
On intervening night of 06/07.05.2014, Ct Brij Sukumar No. 904/W and DHG Virender 8453/DHG (Sanad No. 1120735) PS Uttam Nagar, were on night patrolling duty, at about 4.00 a.m., when they reached at Saheed Chander Marg, Uttam Nagar they found a Tempo Traveller No. DL-1V-6300 parked in front of shop No. WZ-258-A, Hastsal Road, Uttam Nagar. When they reached near the shop they found the shutter of shop broken and heard some noise in the shop. Ct Brij Sukumar No. 904/W contacted the owner of shop, Shri Rajender on his mobile and after 5-7 minutes Shri Rajender came there. He along with Rajender entered the shop and found two persons inside the shop who were stealing electric cable wires of different brands and putting them inside the tempo traveller and were in the process of collecting more cable bundles.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, the accused Sanjeev Kumar disclosed that during his job in call centre as a driver, he came into the contact of co-accused Bilal. A few days before Bilal joined a Tour & Travels company at Palika Palace, New Delhi. During call centre job he came into contact with one Rahul S/o Namonath. For the last two months Sanjeev Kumar was out of job. They used to drink together. Few days before the accused Sanjeev and Rahul planned to steal electrical items so that they would earn money by selling it in Market. As per plan the three accused reached Saheed Chand Marg, Uttam nagar in tempo traveller No. DL-1V-6300. They broke the shutter of shop. Rahul and Sanjeev entered the shop. They took 15 packets of cable wires of different brands and loaded them inside the tempo traveller and were in the process of collecting more cable bundles. He called the owner of the shop Shri Rajender finding his mobile number on the board at the shop. The shop owner immediately came to the spot. Two of the accused Bilal and Sanjeev Kumar were apprehended along with stolen 15 bundles of cable wires kept in the tempo traveller were recovered and the third accused Rahul managed to escape. The investigation of the case is in progress.

INCIDENT AND TEAM
Secret information was received by PO Staff of PS Paschim Vihar that proclaimed offender namely Omprakash Yadav, declared PO in CC No. 1301/01/10 u/s 138 NI Act, P. S. Greater Kailash, Delhi by the court of Ms. Ruchika Singhla, MM, Dwarka, Delhi on 30/01/14 is present at his Jhuggi. Immediately, a team comprising SI Joginder, ASI Satbir ASI Rajesh & HC Rajender under the close supervision of Inspr. Arvind Kumar, SHO/Paschim Vihar was constituted. A raid was conducted at the Jhuggi and P.O. Omprakash Yadav was arrested. The team has arrested81P.O.’s during the current year by displaying high sense of devotion in discharging their official duties.

Launch of Mobile Application and upgraded Website of Delhi Traffic Police by Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi launched the new Mobile Application and Upgraded Website of Delhi Traffic Police on 08.05.2014 at 04.00 pm in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The function was attended by Chief Secretary, Delhi, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, senior functionaries of Govt. of India and NCT of Delhi, Officers of Central Police Organizations (CPOs), former Commissioners of Police & other retired police officers and senior officers of Delhi Police.
The Commissioner of Police, Delhi welcomed the guests and other invitees. He informed the gathering about the challenges of regulating traffic in today’s scenario and how well the Delhi Traffic Police was ensuring high average speed despite saturated roads and heavy density of traffic. He also stressed on the need to make the lives of citizens easy by exploiting the latest advancements in technology and road safety. He appreciated the efforts of Delhi Traffic Police to facilitate dissemination of vital traffic information to public persons and obtained complaints/suggestions from them through electronic/web connectivity. This is another endeavour of Delhi Police in providing e-services to the citizens of Delhi after a highly successful Facebook and Twitter interface.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi lauded thecommendable efforts of Delhi Police and expressed pride in being associated with a force which is led by competent officers. He commented that besides ensuring maintenance of law and order in the city, Delhi Police was also, in one way or the other, associated with other challenges of the city. He appreciated the initiative taken by Delhi Traffic Police in adopting a proactive approach to solicit greater public participation in traffic related matters and attempting to provide services and information to the benefit of one and all.
The mobile application has been designed for easy download from Google Play Store on Android mobile phones. This application will enable the public to utilize the e-services provided by Delhi Traffic Police in future also. The mobile application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and very soon shall also be available on Windows and Apple Store. Significant facilities provided in the application are:
i)Obtaining information about traffic alerts and advisories to plan the journeys accordingly, in advance
ii)Having an assessment of fare charges to be paid to TSR/Taxi/Radio Cab drivers, calculation of distance travelled and shortest route to be taken for destined journey in Delhi.
iii)Lodging complaints against TSR/Taxi drivers for misbehavior, refusal and overcharging.
iv)Accessing information about pit for vehicles towed away by Traffic Police when parked unauthorizedly/improperly.
v)Making direct calls to Emergency Numbers in case of exigency.
vi)Obtaining desired information through FAQs about Delhi Traffic Police and the services provided.
Additionally, Delhi Traffic Police has also upgraded the existing Website to include detailed information about various aspects of traffic management which include prosecution statistics, congestion points, areas prone to waterlogging, location/coding and phasing diagrams of traffic signals, accident prone areas, road safety activities, traffic engineering related issues, jurisdictional information, status of e-challans, vital traffic corridors, information about traffic offices and officers etc.
