DESIGN WEEK LECTURES 2012 ( 5 Nov – 9 Nov)

The RIAI has joined forces with Design Week to present a series of free talks by the 2012 Irish Architecture Awards Winners. The talks take place in the RIAI during Design Week and are a great opportunity to hear about new Irish architecture from the creators themselves. Projects featured a wide range from new civic architecture to stunning residential projects and cultural highlights. Both new built and conservation work will be discussed in the lectures.

  • The Metals Project, Phase 1- Best Public Space/Urban Design 2012 –

winner Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Architects Department .

Talk presented by Bob Hannan on the winning project

  • Wexford County Council Headquarters. Best Public Building 2012 - winner Robin Lee Architecture in association with Arthur Gibney & Partners. Talk present by Robin Lee on the winning building

  • House at Bogwest. Best House 2012 – winner Steve Larkin.
