Design Thinking Mockup Workshop

Design Thinking is something that can be done by anyone who wants to solve problems. This two-day onsite training will provide you a foundation to build upon.

Day 1 is primarily reviewing the Design Thinking methodology, best practices in design, mockups and prototypes, in addition to reviewing common tools in the practices. This type of training is meant to be tool agnostic but can be tailored to be tool specific.

At the end of Day 1 and into Day 2, there will be an interactive workshop where the participants will practice what they learned by creating their own mockups for specific, targeted personas from materials prepared by Think Big Analytics, as well as create an interactive prototype from the mockups that were designed.

In addition to the onsite training, Think Big Analytics will provide a branded style guide, some reusable design assets, such as icons, imagery and other graphical assets.

Intended Audience

The intended audience is a business user who wants exposure to and practical knowledge of design thinking and iterative prototyping.

Audience Preparation

For best results, we recommend the audience spends 30 minutes to go over the materials we’ll provide before the workshop. This will give the audience a foundation of knowledge in the design thinking methodology, and the workshop materials. We recommend:

  • Reviewing Think Big Analytic’s Design Thinking Brochure
  • Review materials for Mockup Design Workshop
  • If there is a preferred tool for mockups or prototypes, please let it be known
  • If no preference, we suggest setting up a free InVision account for prototyping. This can be done at:

Facility Requirements

The environment where the workshop is conducted is an important factor. A setting that is conducive to collaboration and the following instruments are required:

  • Whiteboard
  • Markers
  • Projector or TV Display
  • Sticky Notes
  • Markers and Pens/Pencils
  • Sketch Pad (optional)
