on Pharma Industry
Dear Member,
Goods & Services Tax – GST – a comprehensive tax levy proposed on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and services at a national level; is one of the biggest taxation reforms in India and is all set to integrate Centre and State economics and boost overall growth. The Cabinet on 29th July 2015 cleared the amendments suggested by Rajya Sabha Select Committee to the Proposed GST Constitutional Amendments Bill; the implementation of GST from 1st April 2016 is almost a reality.
GST is an unknown economical, political, policy and administrative challenge. Hence, many companies in corporate India specially the Pharmaceutical Industry are concerned and unware about the real implications of GST.
