Child Protection Policy

1. All personnel should be encouraged to demonstrate exemplary behavior in order to promote children’s’ welfare and reduce the likelihood of allegations being made.

2. Treating all young people/disabled adults equally, and with respect and dignity

3. Always putting the welfare of each young person first, before winning or achieving goals

4. .Building balanced relationships based on mutual trust which empowers children to share in the decision-making process

5. Making sport fun, enjoyable and promoting fair play

6.Being an excellent role model – this includes not smoking or drinking alcohol in the company of young people

7.Giving enthusiastic and constructive feedback rather than negative criticism

8.Securing parental consent in writing to act in loco parentis, if the need arises to administer emergency first aid and/or other medical treatment

9.Keeping a written record of any injury that occurs, along with the details of any treatment given

10. Requesting written parental consent if club officials are required to transport young people in their

ANTI-BULLYING POLICIES

1.The Dumadalig Integrated School believes that all pupils/students have a right to a safe and healthy school environment. The school and community have an obligation to promote mutual respect, tolerance, and acceptance.

2. The school will not tolerate behavior that infringes on the safety of any pupils and/students shat not intimidate, harass, or bully another pupil/student through word or action. Such behavior includes: direct physical contact, such as hitting or shoving ;verbal assault, such as teasing or name calling ,and social isolation or manipulation.

3.The school expects pupils/students and or teachers to immediately report incidents of bullying to the principal or designee. Teachers who witness such acts take immediate step or measure when safe to do so. Each complaint of bullying should be promptly investigated.

4.Pupils/Students who bully are in violation of this policy and are subject to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion.

5.The school will make reasonable efforts to keep a report of bullying and the result of investigation confidential.
