CLASS : X

ENGLISH

  • Project to be made on A-4 interleaf pink colour pastel sheet.
  • It’s a pair activity. Each pair will conduct two interviews. (Imaginary)
  • One interview to be conducted per child.

-Interview of the local MLA.OR

-Interview of the Gram Sarpanch.

  • Interviews should be based on the life of the villagers after the electrification of the village highlighting their life before & after electrification.

Hints: - Adoption of the village by the MLA according to Modi Ji’s scheme of ‘Adarsh Village’.

- Questions of the interview should be based on availability & usage of energy resources.

- Interviews should be handwritten, not more than 8-10 pages, supported by pictures of the
village – before & after electrification.

  • Prepare a handwritten project of 8-10 pages on the topic “ENERGY AND RURAL ECONOMY’ using A-4 size interleaf yellow coloured pastel sheets.Part I and III are compulsory for all the students. Draw a less than type ogive using the grouped frequency distribution table given in Q4 and also find the median from the graph.

  1. Need of energy in rural areas.
  2. Availability of energy (conventional) in rural areas. (number of hours)
  3. Renewable energy and sustainable development in India. (size of rural population, need of energy against backdrop of global carbon footprint)
  4. Types of renewable energy resources that can be developed in rural areas in collaboration with centre - state govt. - NGO’s and SHG’s. (geography of selection of renewable energy in India)
  5. Impact of energy available in rural India.
  6. Reduction in carbon emission.
  7. Children education – light can enable them to study till late evening.
  8. Income generation – more time can be spent on generating income like- processing of agricultural products as well as raw material, providing electricity to the local grid. Local revenue, local job, innovations in products, processes capacity building and local empowerment, affordable and reliable energy.
  9. Better standards of living – light, portable water, health, entertainment etc.
  10. Decline in crime rate- due to light less number of such incidences will take place.

Project

Compare the potential and actual usage of wind energy of France and India.

(A-4 size orange pastel sheets to be used & each team comprises of 2 students).

JAPANESE

  • Students will make a chart and compare between India and Japan on the topic of Energy and Rural Economy.
  • Use A-4 coloured sheets (orange)
  • Picture & other relevant data will be used to make the comparison on the scenario.

  • ‘Sustainable energy as an enabler for rural development’. Identify a Spanish speaking country and study the forms of energy used in the country for rural development. The project should focus on:
