HORSE DRIVING CLINICS 2014

Our clinician will be certified driving instructor Judy Newbert

Sessions will cover ground driving & lunging as well as driving singles, pairs or even a four in hand if you have one.

Each participant will be assigned a private 45 minute lesson on each day they are registered. If you are new to driving or have a horse that has not yet been driven, please indicate on the registration form and we’ll help you to get started.

Be ready to go with your horse tacked up or harnessed and hitched to your vehicle at your assigned lesson time. Scheduling will be completed by the middle of the week prior to each weekend clinic. If you need help in getting your horse ready, this can be included as part of your lesson. If you need lunging or ground driving equipment, some will be available to borrow or purchase.

For beginner drivers, the aim is to have you able to drive at walk, trot and halt, complete large circles and turns in both directions by the end of your first couple of lessons.

We will work on any problem areas and any requests to deal with issues that may have arisen. There is the possibility of tackling courses, obstacles and differentiating between the trot and strong trot depending on ability of participants.
