Class 1

Open Minimus Team Challenge. (Kindly sponsored by Woodside Veterinary Group)

Open to teams of three/four riders and horse/ponies. Rider/pony combination not to have competed at 80cm or above. Best three scores to count. Maximum height in first round 60cm.

PONY CLUB MINI TROPHY (To qualify for the Pony Club team trophy all members in the team, must be PC members 10 years of age or under).

Class 2.

Open Novice Team Challenge. (Kindly sponsored by Cars Recovery)

Open to teams of three/four riders and horse/ponies. Rider/pony combination not to have competed at 90 cm or above. Best three scores to count. Maximum height in first round 70cm.

PONY CLUB NOVICE TROPHY (To qualify for the Pony Club team trophy all members in the team, must be PC members 12 years of age and under).

Class 3.

Open 80cm Team Challenge. (Kindly sponsored by Darren Grant Electrical Ltd)

Open to teams of three/four riders and horse/ponies. Rider/ponycombination not to have competed at 1m or above. Best three scores to count. Maximum height in first round 80cm.

Open to teams of three/four riders and horse/ponies. Best three scores to count. Maximum height in the first round 90cm

PONY CLUB INTERMEDIATE TROPHY (To qualify for the Pony Club team trophy all members in the team, must be PC members aged 15 years of age and under).

Class 5.

Open Team Challenge. (Kindly sponsored by Wayne Balfour, Farrier)

Open to teams of three/four riders and horse/ponies. Best three scores to count. Maximum height in first round 1m.

PONY CLUB OPEN TROPHY (To qualify for the Pony Club team trophy all members in the team, must be PC members- any age).

Teams can be made up of any combination of horse/pony and riders but only those complying with the age groups detailed above and who are members of the Pony Club will be eligible for the team trophies.

Class 1 start time: 9.00 a.m, or earlier! Later classes to be advised.

Pony Club Showjumping Rules 2016

Dress

Hats

It is mandatory for all competitors to wear a protective helmet at all times when mounted. It must bear the CE mark and a quality symbol, either the BSI Kitemark, the SAI Global symbol or the official Snell label with number.

Hair.

In the interest of safety, long hair should be securely tied, and put in a hairnet.

Jackets.

Tweed, navy blue or black jackets to be worn with tie (Pony Club members) or stock. No sweat shirts .

Jodphurs

No dark coloured jodphurs to be worn. White, cream or beige will be acceptable.

Footwear.

Standard riding boots or jodhpur boots can be worn. Half chaps may be worn with boots of the same colour.

Jewellery is not allowed.

All competitors must be correctly dressed when walking the course.

Competition Rules

We reserve the right not to accept entries if we feel that you are ineligible for a particular class.

Each team can be made up of three or four members. The three best scores will count from each round. If you are eliminated you will be given a score of the highest penalties from that round + 20, so that your team will have a score.

Each team will be required to complete two rounds of jumping. The second round will be timed over a heightened course, and in the case of equal penalties, the times of the 3 scores that count, will be added together for the final positions.

Classes may be divided into Pony Club and non Pony Club teams, depending on

number of entries.

Trophies will be awarded to the highest place teams in each section that are made up of Pony Club members competing within their age group. The teams can be made up from different branches. Ages as at 01.01.16

landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or

illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories,

or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence,

breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this

basis.

2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the

health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be

effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent

accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and

stewards.

3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance

and must have their own third party cover. The Deeside Branch of The Pony Club and

the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their

insurance will not cover you.
