DECODE BOARD User Manual

1. MAIN FUNCTIONS：

1.1 DVD Player Functions:

Four decode, compatible with various discs such as DVD/SVCD/DVCD/VCD/MP3/CD/ CD-G/HDCD/ALBUM/Mr.OKO etc

(1) CVBS interlace scan.

(2) Component R,G,B interlace scan or progressive scan.

(3) S-Video. interlace scan.

(4) VGA. progressive scan. Audio output:

Benefits: Dolby AC-3 5.1 Channel, 8 output terminals, ATAPI/IDE DVD-ROM4M x 16bit SDRAM16Mbit FLASH RAM, DVD CSS (Content Scrambling System) decoding, DVD navigation, MIC Front Amplifier (with volume potentiometer impedance of 10K ohm), DTS Digital Output, reserved Analogue power amplifier, X1/4, X1/2, X2, X4 flexible zoom.

1.2 Karaoke Player functions:

Ordering songs by directory or by numbers, fully original sound and disc, each 160G hard disc holding 8,000 MTV songs, power on and off timer.

1.3 HD DVD/MPEG-4 Player Functions:

48-bit addressing, mass storage hard disc up to 2000G, MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG-4/DIVX/XVID/ video formats supported, suitable for VOD devices and advertising players.

1.4 Expanded functions:

USB interface supported, easy to download audio and video files from PC, reserved DTS digital power amplifier, analogue power amplifier connector.

2. ASSEMBLY PART：

1.1 DS-6168HD decode board:(1 PCS)

1.3 Remote receiver.(1 PCS, and line)

1.4 Cable Line (HDD power line ，IDE 80PIN cable line )

1.5. Remote controler (1 pcs)

3. ASSEMBLY CONNECTION EXPLAINS:

3.1 Port definition :

Power in with +12V,-12V, Two 5V.

(1) IDE 1# PORT connect to DVD ROM device or main HDD.

(2) If need connect to one HDD only, and don’t have connect DVD-ROM, that HDD will be connected to IDE 1#PORT, Notice: HDD will be Jumped to MASTER. And FORMAT within FAT32.

(3) If need connect to HDD and DVD-ROM simultaneously, that DVD-ROM will connect to IDE 1#PORT,HDD connect to IDE 3#, Notice: HDD will be Jumped to SLAVE.

(4) If need connect to double HDD and DVD-ROM simultaneously, and don’t have connect DVD-ROM,that the One HDD will be connect to IDE 1# PORT, and be Jumped to MASTER. Another one HDD will be connect to IDE 3#PORT, and be Jumped to SLAVE.

(5) When use USB2.0 Port，that decode board will don’t work in play

(6). From VGA port ，can output RGB video signal．

3.2 Output Port definition

(1) VIDEO PORT: S-VIDEO，YUV, VGA(RGB)，AV

(2) AUDIO PORT: Optical，Coaxially，DTS，AC-3 5.1channel.

4. OPERATION：

4.1 Preparation：

4.11．Preparat TV set, computer, acoustics and the line of power supply.

4.12．New hard disc needs to be FORMATED in advance on computer with FAT32 , divide into one district, and jump to MASTER . If convenience is suggested COPY MPEG2 or MPEG-4( AVI suffix, DIVX code) file into HDD to test.

4.13 According to " connection map " connection each accessory equipment. Need to be noticed , whether it is correct that video mixes export (yellow color) connect to AV input with TV .

4.2 Turn on the player to operate:

4.21. Turn on power , After preferences of equipment of 15 seconds. It will display start LOGO picture on TV, and have the printed words of LOADING.

4.22. If there is any disc in DVD-ROM, it will acquiesce in play disc first, otherwise will play the film of master hard disc.

4.23. Try to press any key of remote controler in play( do not forget to putin battery! ), To observe whether it have movement to determine , in order to confirm that remote receiver is normal.

4.24. If the film form is MPEG-4 to play, It is good suggest , that it is to use DIVX3.11 mpeg4 code to compressions , so as. AVI suffix file is good.

4. 使用VGA视频输出方法:连接好VGA输出端口到电脑显示器, 同时最好也用AV线连好电视机,在<停止>状态下,按<设定setup>键,

进入”PREFERENCES SETUP(初始设定)”中,选择<视频模式>选择<RGB>,然后退出设定,再用遥控器的VGA(视频转换)键来切换．这时候

输出信号将切到电脑显示屏上,电视上将无图像显示,可以来回切换.

4.3. Remote controler operation:

4.31. When playing , press<STOP> key twice, then press <Driver> key. Can change to work between DVD-ROM,HDD1,HDD2 by <ENTER> key.

4.32. When STOP state( Press <STOP>key twice). Press <SETUP> key. setup systematic parameter. OSD language, video way. Audio frequency 5.1 sound channel. karaoka switch and so on. choose to acquiesce in value usually.

4.33. Use VGA video export method: Connect VGA export port to monitor. At the same time, most also connect AV port to TV set. On STOP state , press <SETUP>key. Enter “PREFERENCES SETUP”. Select “VIDEO MODE”  select <RGB>. Then quit to setup. press the VGA key of remote controller, it is changed . now VGA export signal to monitor, and on television, will display without image, Can since return to cut change.

4.34. 5.1 sound channel open method: It is to open stereo output that this board is acquiesced in. If will open 5.1 sound channel. please to take in STOP state. Press <SETUP>key  “KARAOKE SETUP”  “OFF”, then come to “SPEAKER SETUP” “DOWNMIX”  ”OFF/STEREO”. But If use Karaoke function it will opposite operation.

4.35. If it is the software of “MPEG4 player” that be updated into decode board in advance , then have two kinds of modes of playing at your choice :

(1). Mode 1( Acquiescence ): Will show the file directory of the hard disk after starting the machine , About one that pass the remote controller from select key , Choose the AV file to play , in the course , Will play the next file automatically according to the famous order of the file , This mode can't play in a circle .

(2). Mode 2: Will begin to play from the first file automatically after starting the machine , in the course , Will play the next file automatically according to the famous order of the file , After finishing playing the last file , Will jump to the first file and play , play so in a circle . Remote control < Stop > And then < play> will begin to play from stopping the file .

(3). Press <Stop> key twice, then press <Setup> Key , Entry " PREFERENCES SETUP ", Select " SMARTNAVI " , Elected " WITH MENU " will set as the mode 1, Elected " NO MENU " will set as the mode 2.

4.36.If it is the software of “karaoka player” that be updated into decode board in advance , then have two kinds of modes of playing at your choice :

(1) Mode 1( Acquiescence ): enter karaoka player OSD. Is in select song working state.

(2) Mode 2 : mpeg4 player state.

(3). Press <Stop>key twice, then press<Setup> Key , Entry “PREFERENCES SETUP”, Select “SMARTNAVI “, Elected " NO MENU " will set as the mode 1, Elected "WITH MENU " will set as the mode 2.

1. Q&A:

5.1. Q : Show black in the TV while using?

A : (1). May be have pressed VGA ( The video changing ) key change to VGA mode . The order switched over is S-Video,YUV,RGB(VGA),
(2). Check the circuit , See whether to cut out or not , The end son has not inserted putting in place , Whether the power lamp is on , The hard disk rotating ..
(3). Press the key errorly , Start the machine again .

5.2. Q : While using to browse the hard disk directory , The response is slow , Or the machine down?

A: (1).The transmission of the hard disk itself is slow .
(2).It is too much file in one directory , Don't makes the file to exceed 100s in every directory.

5.3. Q : Insert USB and then the computer can't discern USB device ?

A : (1). Confirm the computer is installed with USB Driver (winXP take by oneself ) .

(2). The hard disk is running .
(3). Insert the USB line well first, then turn on the switch, insert plug the power adapter.

5.4. Q : Insert USB And then showing on the computer " High speed USB device, meddle in low-speed USB Concentrator !" Warning , Can't use USB device ?

A : (1). Because your computer main board port is USB1.1 , Do not support USB2.0, Change a computer to have a try again.

(2). Error which the computer drives .
