Dear Students, Alumni, Faculty,and Staff Members,

The Western New England University Alumni Association Board of Directors is pleased to offer another cycle of the AnnualAlumni Association Grants Program. The purpose of this initiative is to offer grants to alumni or members of the University community that support current student programs, student organization initiatives, Alumni Association initiatives, and student and alumni athletics.

Applications for this exciting opportunity are now being accepted. Details of the program are as follows:

  • Applicants must be either an alumnus(na), student, staff or faculty member of the Western New England University community.
  • The application form must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
  • Any proposals without a budget will not be considered.
  • The proposed program must follow and be related to the stated purpose of the Grants Program as stated above and must describe how it will address the mission and values of the Alumni Association which is, “to communicate with and bring value to the alumni body and to support actively and financially the goals of the University.”
  • The Alumni Association funds program or projects in the $500 - $2,500 range. Awarding of funds and the amount of the award is at the discretion of the Grants Committee.
  • Fundswill not be awarded to pay for travel or lodging expenses. However, registration or seminarfees can be funded.
  • Applicants selected for final review may be required to meet with the Grants Team to discuss the merits of their proposal by special arrangement with the committee.
  • Grant recipients are required to provide a written final report to the Alumni Association Board of Directors detailing the success of the project funded and its impact on the University, students, or alumni. The form will be attached to your award letter. Some funded programs will be asked to make a presentation to the Alumni Board or Grants Team.
