On the enclosed ballot, the Nominating Committee presents to you the Slate of Candidates for the STMA 2012 Board of Directors. Also included on the ballot is a Proposed Bylaws Amendment, which adds a new category of membership: Retired Member. This new category was developed by the Membership Committee to keep Retired Members engaged and active in STMA. Per the Bylaws, STMA voting members must approve any change to the Bylaws. To see the current Bylaws and to view the SOP that further clarifies eligibility and fees for the Retired Category, please go to Members Only, STMA Bylaws at www.STMA.org.
For information on each Board candidate, also please go to the STMA website, www.STMA.org, and click on Election Information under the Who We Are tab. Your Nominating Committee has been working since the previous election to bring forward this slate of qualified candidates. We believe that any on this slate will be excellent leaders for STMA. Please take the time to vote and select your STMA leaders for 2012.
At the bottom of this letter is a proxy for you to fill out if you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting in Long Beach. If you are attending it, you do not need to fill out the proxy.
