Dear Parents/Guardians,
This week, we learned the letter Cc/k/. We also reviewed the letters Nn/n/ and Pp/p/. We introduced the high frequency word –go. In math we began our new chapter (topic) on numbers 0-5. We have been learning about Fire Safety in Social Studies. We have been learning about ABAB and AAB patterns during calendar time every morning. We learned the first 5 October poems (#1 - Baa, Baa, Black Sheep, #2 - Humpty Dumpty, #3 - Hickory, Dickory, Dock, #4 - Christopher Columbus , & #5 - Wee Willie Winkie). Today the Red Group shared something red for Show & Tell.
Next week we will be introducing letter Aa and that it says /a/as in apple & /a/ as in ape. We will be reviewing all of the high frequency words that we have been learning (a, I, my, the, & go). We will be learning the rest of the October poems (#6 - Diddle Diddle Dumpling, #7 - Hey Diddle Diddle, & #8 - See My Pumpkin). In math, we will continue to learn about numbers 0-5. In Social Studies, we will continue to learn about Fire Safety. On Friday we will be having Fire Safety Day. The Millersburg Fire Company will be visiting us to teach us more about Fire Safety rules. Next week will be Spirit Week. There will be spirit items on sale for students to purchase. 73205Last year they had items such as bookmarks, pompoms, temporary tattoos, and spirit bead necklaces. Next week the Yellow Group will share something yellow for Show & Tell. The October book order is due on or before Friday, October 10th.
