Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am planning an educational trip to England, France, Switzerland Italy for June/July 2017. I am very excited to share this opportunity with students and parents. The tour is being arranged through EF Educational Tours. This company has worked closely with Seneca Valley teachers in the past to provide unique and exciting experiences. EF has been in business for 50 years and has offices around the world. They are able to guarantee the lowest prices for the highest quality. Because of their experience, global presence and professional tour guides, I feel comfortable leading a group with this company.
The trip is open to this year’s freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and their parents. The exciting itinerary includes seeing in London: Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, and a tour of the Tower of London; in Paris: the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre; in Switzerland: the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge and a tour of Lucerne; in Florence: the statue of David; in Pisa: the Leaning Tower of Pisa; in Assisi: the Basilica of St. Francis; in Rome: the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Vatican City and Sistine Chapel. In addition to being a once in a lifetime experience, the trip reinforces Seneca Valley’s curriculum allowing students to experience and see what is discussed in class.
An obvious consideration for this type of trip is the cost. The price (which includes the enrollment fee, program fee and departure fee) is a bargain when considering that it includes airfare, hotel accommodations, breakfast and dinner daily, entrance to attractions and trip insurance. Other expenses will include a passport, lunches, additional optional excursions, spending money and tip money. EF offers a convenient, affordable monthly payment plan.
I ask that you discuss this opportunity with your son/daughter. A parent meeting will be held Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30 p.m. in senior high room 210. At that time I will discuss the benefits of taking an educational tour, the detailed trip itinerary, overall cost and fundraising opportunities.
Attached is the basic itinerary. You may view EF’s website at www.eftours.com/1818423WM
