Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Lincoln Middle School. We look forward to meeting all of you this fall. In order to help you best prepare for the upcoming school year we are providing you with a list of required and suggested materials for each class. Notice that each class has a color listed beside it—making sure that your binders and folders are color coded by subject this will help you to stay organized and to be on time to each class. Please leave most of the pens, pencils and paper at home for use during the school year.

Please take a moment to log onto the Middle School website. The address is: http://www.lincolnps.org/middleschool/ You will find information posted regarding summer reading requirements. There is no summer mathematics assigned to incoming sixth grade students. For team specific information, log onto the Team 1 link. There you will find important notifications, information and links to specific class websites. Another great tool that you can access through the website is the MMS portal. This will allow you to view your son or daughter’s academic assignments and progress. If you do not have an account set up already, you can create a parent portal account by clicking here:http://lincportal.lincolnps.org/MMSGB/createaccount.aspx

When the school year starts, we will also be available to meet with you as a team of teachers most weekdays by appointment. Email is also a great way to communicate with us. Our email addresses are listed below or can be accessed through the school website. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to set up a meeting or have any specific concerns about your child.

If you have any additional questions feel free to contact the middle school office or email us at the addresses listed below. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

*Please note that in rare cases team assignments may change due to scheduling conflicts. Also, successful completion of a summer program is necessary for students enrolled in summer school for this team placement.
