Dear MPT Community Member:
If you have ever enjoyed Sesame Street, Antiques Roadshow, Masterpiece’s Downton Abbey or Nova, you know the value of Public Broadcasting Programming. While you can’t put a price tag on learning to read, broadening your horizons, or being lifted from your daily problems by a fine dramatic show, you can make a donation to support public broadcasting. Your donation ensures that this type of education and entertainment will be available to our local community through broadcasts from MPT – Public Broadcasting for Maryland.
PBS Programming is funded largely by the generosity of its members, donors and sponsor companies. Each year, MPT runs two online auctions that are supported through our television station to raise money in a different way and to increase exposure for our sponsor companies. Our next event, the Holiday Auction, will run from November 5 - 17, 2015.
I am writing to you today to see if your organization would be able to support the MPT HolidayAuction with a donation of merchandise or gift certificates that we may auction during our event. For our donors whose donation has a retail value in excess of $500, you will receive on-air promotion during the event. Donations that are less than $500 will appear on the auction web site and in auction emails and social media.
The Holiday Auction is an extremely cost effective way to promote your business to 700,000 households that watch Maryland Public Television each month.
