Dear Forensic Colleague,

You and your students are cordially invited to attend the La Salle Forum's Annual Invitational Tournament to be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at La SalleCollegeHigh School in Wyndmoor, PA. Please pay close attention to the information provided below and throughout the registration materials, as a number of changes have been implemented this year.

As in years past, but even more so this year, we are limited by physical space. Because of these space limitations each school may enter no more than fifteen and no more than the allotted spaces per event on the DEBATE AND SPEECH REGISTRATION FORMS. Additionally, some events may be “capped” after a certain number of registrations have been received. Double entry will not be permitted this year.

*INFORMATION REGARDING LUNCH:

There will be some snack food available from vending machines throughout the day. The school cafeteria will be selling sandwiches, pizzas, soda, and other food items at the 12:15PM lunch time. Please ask your students to brown-bag it or to come prepared to purchase lunch here at school. THERE ARE NO FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS NEAR THE SCHOOL. We ask that your students remain on campus during the lunch break. There will be a judges and coaches lounge, which will be serving food in the Faculty Dining Room during the Lunch Break. Coffee and pastries will be available for judges throughout the day.

**AWARDS PRESENTATION:

Awards will be given to the first second, and third place schools on sweepstakes(counting your best five entries - two in debate and three in individual events), to the First and Second Place teams in Varsity and Novice Policy and L-D Debate; Debate Speaker Certificates; and to first, second, and third place in each of the speech events. Certificates will be given to all other Finalists.

POLICY DEBATE - Policy Debate will be offered in both Varsity and Novice divisions, using the
2005-2006 Topic and following NCFL Rules

LINCOLNDOUGLAS DEBATE - L-D Debate will be offered in both Varsity and Novice divisions,using the November/December L-D Debate Topic

PUBLIC FORUM DEBATE– Public Forum Debate will be offered in Varsity only, using the December PFD Topic, following PHSSL rules

ORIGINAL ORATORY –will followNCFL rules

DUO INTERPRETATION –Duo will follow PHSSL Rules

EXTEMPORANEOUS– will follow NCFL Rules

EXTEMP COMMENTARY - Extemp. Commentary is a supplemental event at the NFL National Tournament and is a PHSSL District and PA State Event, and will follow PHSSL Rules.

ORAL INTERP.OF LITERATURE –OI will have alternating rounds of Prose and Poetry, order to be determinedby coin flip at the tournament, following NCFL Rules

DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE – DP will combine Dramatic and Humorous scripted materials or prose materials, following NCFL Rules.

DECLAMATION – Competition is limited to Freshmen and Sophomores and will follow NCFL rules
