Dear Fellow Service-Minded Yalie,

Welcome! We are thrilled that you’re interested in becoming an integral part of our Dwight Hall community.

Just as Branford and Pierson, Payne Whitney and the AfAm house, Kline Biology Tower and Kroon Hall are home to diverse and overlapping communities that together comprise Yale, Dwight Hall serves as a hub, a nexus, a home base for the community of public service and social justice minded students and student groups on campus.

Within our Dwight Hall community, we have web designers and writers, artists, athletes and entrepenuers. We have links to every corner of Yale. The idea is that we utilize each other as specialized people resources to foster innovative ideas and to ensure that any determined public service or social justice minded member group is able to effect positive change within communities at Yale, in New Haven, and abroad.

In order to apply for Dwight Hall Membership, we ask group coordinators to take two steps.

Step 1: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

Fill out the the application form linked here. Use it to introduce us to your group. When you have completed the application, please email it as an attachment to .

Step 2: ATTEND A NEW MEMBER MEETING

Each year we host four New Member Meetings. This semester, we will host New Member Meetings on Monday, September 19, and Monday, November 9. Please choose the soonest date after your application submission and join us at 9:00PM in the Dwight Hall Library. At this New Member Meeting, we will introduce you to the people, the spaces, and the resources that are Dwight Hall. We will outline the requirements of Dwight Hall membership, answer any questions you have, walk you through the next step in the application process, and smash on some pizza.

I look forward to receiving your application and then to meeting you at our next New Member Meeting. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions in the meantime.

Best,

Emma Dunne
