Dear Employee and their Family Members of Henry County Public Schools:

We are writing this letter to inform you that Henry County Public Schools offers an Employee Assistance Program. Effective January 1, 2012, Carilion EAP will now be providing these services to our organization, offering a confidential counseling service for you and your family members. We realize that when you have help handling some of life's bigger problems, we can all benefit by providing confidential solutions through EAP counseling. We want to remind you this service is available and encourage you and your family members to use the counseling benefit whenever you have the need. The benefit provides for four free counseling sessions per problem, per family member.

Confidentiality is the most important feature of the employee assistance program. This affords you and your family members’ privacy to get the counseling you need without fear ofthe organization or co-workers and others finding out that you have used the program. Your name remains confidential to the EAP, and is not revealed in any reports generated from the EAP to Henry County Public Schools.

Carilion EAP can help with marital problems, stress, parenting concerns, drug or alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety, financial problems, and others problems that are interfering with your daily living. EAP counseling can help you initially and can provide continued support to help solve ongoing problems in the future.

As you are also aware, our health insurance costs are ever increasing. This service can help you with your problems, while holding down the cost of health insurance by providing the most cost-effective services possible. There is no direct cost to you when you use EAP!

You can make an appointment simply by calling (800) 992-1931 during regular business hours; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Simply identify yourself as an employee of Henry County Public Schools seeking EAP help. You will be linked with a local provider at that time.

The counselors work flexible schedulesso appointments can be arranged that are convenient for you and your work schedule. Carilion EAP also maintains a crisis line on the same toll-free number for off-hours.
