Families with an active Parent Portal account have the option to complete student verification forms online. By completing your verification online, you will decrease the amount of time you spend at registration. We encourage all families with an active Parent Portal account to complete verification online. Please refer to the DPS online verification sheet included in this packet for more information. Please remember to print out your online verification if you use the online option to ensure to that you will not need to fill out a paper copy at registration. Families that use the online option, but fail to bring in a copy of their verification will be asked to complete a paper copy.

If you would like to use the online option, but do NOT have a parent portal account, you may sign up for an account (instructions included in the DPS online verification sheet), but keep in mind that it may take 5-7 days to create your account. If you do not complete an online verification form BEFORE registration, you will be required to complete a paper copy at registration. If you do not wish to utilize the online verification option, you may complete a paper copy at registration.

In addition to completing your DPS verification, you will also be turning in any necessary health and medicine related documents for the 2017-2018 schoolyear. Many of these forms require a parent/guardian signature, as well as a health provider’s signature. Please refer to the “Medication & Immunization 2017-2018” sheet in this packet for more information. All health and medicine related documents can be found at dsstpublicschools.org. All students, new and returning, are required to bring proof of immunization to registration. Students without up to date immunizations, including the TDAP booster will not be able to start school per the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment.

You will also have the chance to fill out your free/reduced lunch application at registration. These applications are now exclusively online. Even if you know you will not qualify for free or reduced meals, we ask that all families submit an application. We will have computers available at registration for you to apply.

Finally, general student fees for the 2017-2018 schoolyear will be assessed during registration. Fees for families that do not qualify for free/reduced lunch are $250.00 for the year. Families that qualify for free/reduced lunch have reduced fees that total $100.00. Free/reduced lunch fees are however, suggested. Please refer to the fees overview on our website for more detailed information.

Thank you for helping us make registration a success!
