Dear Dr. Gathercoal,

I had another request for scholarship funding for the fall earlier today. The student below fits the criteria for the (CURRIC) Curriculum & Instruction scholarship. The Dean asked me to let you know the balance available in that scholarship in order to determine how to disperse the funds. At this time, the amount available for this particular scholarship is $6000.00. It appears as though this student is not asking for a great deal, perhaps $100.00 or more. The Student Financial Aid Office let me know that they will be contacting the scholarship committees again soon to re-award any funds that have been made available by students not attending.I am new to this process and do not have any instructions on our internal process in the college. Please advise.

Thank you,

Robin

Robin, Given that it is a C&I scholarship, I think the decision should be made there. Can you let Dr. Gathercoal know how much is left in the CURRIC funds and he can help determine how to disperse them. Cori

Dear Dean Mantle-Bromley,

I received the request below for scholarship funding for a student. I see there are still funds in the (CURRIC) Curriculum & Instruction scholarship. This student fits the criteria. Please let me know if you need additional information and/or would like to approve this request.

If you would like me to copy Dr. Gathercoal on this email and other requests affecting his department, please let me know as well.

Thank you for your time on these requests.

Robin

Hi Robin;

In the past, I have worked with Jodi to 'pick up' unclaimed/un-awarded scholarships for students that really do fit a need category. I have a student, <student name>, that is a dual major (biology, secondary science education) strong GPA, very good kid. Even if it is $100 that would be most welcome.I could probably get additional info from him beyond what is in Banner, if you like.

Thanks in advance,

jd
