Dear Cleveland Residents:

We will be having an Angel Tree again this year. If you know of a family or individual in Cleveland that could use some help, please submit their name, age and gender to the town office. Please submit names as soon as possible. If you would like to participate, please visit or call the town office to select your angel. The date to return your wrapped gift to the town office is December 15th. Let’s help bring the holiday spirit to everyone by helping someone in our community.

The town Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th at 6:00 pm at the Old Town Hall. We are bringing back the lighting of the town tree and invite all residents to bring an ornament to place on the tree that evening. Please be on time as we will light the tree at approx. 6:30. Afterwards, there will be a short program with entertainment by The Community Band and the Griffin Family, games, light refreshments and Santa is scheduled to make an appearance. Come join us and make this party your family’s Christmas tradition.

The town office hours will change during the holidays. December 18-22 the office will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30-5:00 pm, closed Thursday. December 25-29 the office will be open on Thursday only from 11:30-5:00 pm. Payments can be placed in the drop box at any time.

To ensure everyone’s safety, please make sure that public sidewalks are not blocked by weeds, trees, RV's, vehicles etc. Please remove vehicles and trailers from the streets to make it easier for the snowplows to effectively do the job and decrease the time involved in clearing the streets. This will enable the maintenance crews to do a better job in front of your home as well as the entire town.

The Cleveland Fire Department is in need of volunteers. The department meets every Wednesday at 7pm for trainings. If you are interested in being a part of this very important group of volunteers, please plan to attend these trainings. You could make a huge difference in our community!

We will be sponsoring a rabies clinic on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9:00 am to noon at the Public Safety Building. Rusty Truman of San Rafael Vet Clinic will be the vet. We encourage all dog owners to take advantage of this clinic to vaccinate your animals. ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE VACCINATED AND LICENSED. Please stop in to the town office with proof of rabies vaccination to purchase your dog license for as low as $5. The fine for an unlicensed dog is $80.

Cleveland Town occasionally uses the One Call Now service which sends an automated call to each resident when water outages or other important information needs to be shared quickly. Please contact the town office if you need to have your phone number added or updated in the system. This will ensure that everyone receives these important updates.

Our new mayor and council members will be sworn in on January 11, 2018 during town council meeting at 7:00 pm. Our new mayor will be Michael Taylor. Our council members will be Kallon Cowley, Brydi Sharp, Kristen Vose and Joe Wandell. Cleveland Town thanks our outgoing council and mayor for their service.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
