Dear Chorus Students and Parents,

The Gilmer High School Chorus and McEachern High School Chorus are proud to announce that we are doing another joint trip this year! This year, we will be going to Charlotte, NC to compete in the Carowinds festival from April 8-April 10th, 2015. In this letter, we have included all of the pertinent details you will need to know about the trip, as well as intent to travel section that needs to be filled out, signed and returned by Friday, September 4th. We hope that you will consider taking part in this awesome opportunity with our partner school and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Carowinds Festival - Charlotte 2016

Friday:Depart McEachern High School, Powder Springs, GA at approximately 5:30 AM

April 8for an 1 hour trip to pick-up 2nd group at Gilmer High School, Ellijay, GA

depart at approximately 7:00 AM

Stop for breakfast en route at your own expense

Arrive Charlotte and meet tour director at 1:00 PM

Free time at the Concord Mills Mall with lunch at your own expense

Lowes Motor Speedway tour based on availability

The Speedpark at Concord Mills with All-day Wristband

Hotel check-in

Dinner at Old Country Buffet based on availability

Saturday:Deluxe continental breakfast at hotel

April 9Performance as scheduled by Carowinds Festival (performing together)

Carowinds Amusement Park

All-you-can-eat lunch buffet with bottomless soda wristband

Dinner at your own expense

Awards Ceremony

Sunday:Deluxe continental breakfast at hotel followed by check-out

April 10Depart for home at 9:00 AM

Stop for lunch en route at your own expense

Drop-off 1st group at Gilmer High School, Ellijay, GA

Drop-off 2nd group at McEachern High School, Powder Spring, GA

Arrive home at 4:00 PM

Participants have the option to purchase trip insurance which includes the Cancel for any Reason Benefit (This covers 75% of the non-refundable trip cost. Cancellation must be 2 or more days prior to scheduled departure) $38.00 additional per person.

TRIP INCLUDES:Round-trip motorcoach transportation, driver’s room and gratuity

2 night hotel accommodations with interior corridors (quad occupancy)

2 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner

Nightly private hotel security guard

All admissions, entrance fees, taxes and most gratuities

All fees excluding festival application fee

Professional tour director (gratuity not included)

Price based on 55 (or 110) total participants

Payment 1: $105September30th, 2015

Payment 2: $105November 4th, 2015

Payment 3: $105January 6th, 2016

Payment 4: $103 or remaining balance: February 5th, 2016
