On January 19, 2013 Moraine State Park will again host the 3rd annual Winterfest (information at morainepreservationfund.org). This event has historically attracted over 2,000 visitors who have come to enjoy demonstrations and winter activities such as cross country skiing, hiking, ice skating, snow shoeing, ice sculpting, dog sleds, music, crafts, a chili cook-off, food and more! The Moraine Preservation Fund has largely coordinated and funded this event with some assistance from the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau. Our goal has been to make this event larger and more exciting each year. This year, we have plans to bring carriage rides and more outdoor demonstrations to the event. However, as a non-profit organization, our funding sources are limited. Therefore, we have decided to reach out to Butler County Businesses to solicit their support. I have summarized below the opportunities and benefits associated with your support of Winterfest:

Event Sponsor - $1,000 (first one to be accepted)

  • Name prominently displayed along with the Moraine Preservation Fund on banner at entrance to the event.
  • Name displayed as “Event Sponsor” along with the Moraine Preservation Fund on all media advertising, web sites, and signage at the event.
  • Can provide displays, coupons, or handouts for circulation at our information booth.
  • Announcement as Event Sponsor during our chili cook-off results.

Sponsor - $100 or greater

  • Name displayed as “Sponsor” on all media advertising and web sites
  • Can provide displays, coupons or handouts for circulation at our information booth.

Chili Cook-Off Sponsor – The chili cook-off has become a popular attraction at this event. Historically we’ve had the public judge 10 chilis and provided prizes to the top 3. This year we have expanded the field to 20 different chilis and judging will be by a 10 person panel comprised of prominent Butler County individuals. We are looking for gift certificates ($25-$75) from Butler County Businesses to provide as awards for the winners. Your business name will be announced as part of the winner announcements.
