Subject: Announcement: ACM expands partnership with Reviews.com

Dear ACM Agent/Consortium Partner,

ACM, Inc. and Reviews.com are pleased to announce our collaboration to market, sell, and distribute access to the online database for the ACM Computing Reviews journal published by ACM in partnership with Reviews.com.

Effective immediately, ACM will take over and manage all new sales and billing operations for Computing Reviews Online. The intent is to effect a very simple and smooth transition and to avoid any confusion for libraries by having ACM immediately manage the process of going out to all prospective new customers with CR marketing and pricing information via our agent and consortium partners. Accordingly, all Academic, Government, or Corporate queries regarding new institutional subscriptions to Computing Reviews should be directed to Nolen Harris (ACM Sales Administrator) r 212-626-0676 for further assistance with pricing and access information.

Moving forward library agent and consortium partners may expect the following:

Pricing for New Computing Reviews Customers

In the United States, Computing Reviews pricing will be tier based to conform to the ACM Digital Library model. In the Rest of World pricing will be based on a flat-fee model. Discounts will be available in all regions to libraries ordering through ACM's academic library agent or consortium partners. The new pricing is attached below for your review. All new Computing Reviews orders received as of November 1st, 2010 and beyond will be priced based on these schedules. Please email r call 212-626-0676 further assistance.

Pricing for Current (Existing) Computing Reviews Customers

Current institutional subscribers to Computing Reviews will be gradually integrated into the new ACM pricing model. However, for the 2010/2011 renewal cycle Reviews.com will continue to manage the subscription process for existing subscribers and pricing will follow the Reviews.com standard policy. All questions regarding renewal pricing for existing library subscriptions should be directed to Mary-Lynn Bragg r650-812-3569 for further assistance.

Renewal invoices for existing Computing Reviews subscribers will also continue to be processed by Mary-Lynn Bragg .

The one exception to the stated procedure is for Microsoft, Inc. All questions regarding Microsoft’s renewal should be immediately directed to ACM at or 212-626-0650 for further assistance.

We are very optimistic about this partnership and look forward to working together with you in the coming months and future years.

Please do not hesitate to contact ACM directly with any questions you may have. Our staff will do our best to provide you with clear and quick answers.

Respectfully,

ACM Digital Library Team
