Dear ABATE of Ohio, Inc. Board of Directors;
I salute ABATE of Ohio for considering joining the National Coalition of Motorcyclists, and submit the following information for the board’s consideration and vote on the issue.
In case you missed my brief presentation at the recent ABATE board meeting, attached is an article I handed out explaining the origins of NCOM and details the various benefits offered to NCOM Member Groups.
There are currently over 2,000 NCOM Member Groups throughout the United States, consisting of nearly 40 states’ motorcycle rights organizations such as ABATE, all 55 Confederations of Clubs throughout North America, and other organizations, clubs, Christian associations, Clean and Sober groups, etc., and also include such organizations as the Patriot Guard Riders, Retreads, Women in the Wind, Lawmakers MC, and Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA).
A list of NCOM Member Groups can be viewed on the AIM/NCOM website here:
A brochure I disseminated outlined many of the member benefits and highlighted many of NCOM’s accomplishments over its 23 year history, and also listed our board of directors which consists of 2 board members from MROs in 9 Regions across the country. Many of you met Doc Reichenbach, our NCOM Chairman of the Board, at the recent ABATE Seminar, and I’ve attached a letter he has written to your attention. Other board members include such prominent bikers rights activists as Sputnik from Texas, Doc Ski from North Carolina, Tiger Mike Revere state director of ABATE of Oklahoma, Big D Watson founder of ABATE of New Mexico, and the list goes on.
You can view our NCOM Board Member list here:
While you’re at it, I’d like to invite you to peruse our AIM/NCOM website and check out things like our annual newsletter that we print 100,000 of to keep rights leaders and members informed and up-to-date on motorcycling issues, and our AIM/NCOM Motorcycle E-News Service that provides timely information on motorcycle-related issues to over 1,000,000 readers monthly!
Please surf our AIM/NCOM website here:
NCOM largely functions as an umbrella organization under which diverse motorcycling interests find a common voice and a conduit for communications. Our NCOM Regional Meetings and annual NCOM Convention draw thousands of concerned riders from across the country and around the globe to work in cooperation in promoting bikers rights!
We would welcome ABATE of Ohio into our NCOM network, and look forward to working together in unity towards our common pursuit of Freedom of the Road, so please take a moment to review the materials and make your decision accordingly.
In closing, I told the ABATE board the same thing I’ve told others over the years; “As a leader you are obligated to your membership to take advantage of every resource available that benefits the members and your organization.”
NCOM is just such a resource, and I encourage you to view the motion favorably.
THANK YOU in advance for your time and due consideration of this issue.
Sincerely,
BILL BISH
NCOM Board of Directors, Region IV (Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, IllinoisWisconsin)
