Position: Truck Driver – Laborer
Duties: Maintain and repair streets and roads.
Operate various types of equipment in connection with road repair, plowing snow and maintenance, including, but not limited to, a one-ton dump truck, two-ton dump truck, and a pick-up truck.
Perform minor maintenance services on equipment, including, but not limited to ensuring proper levels of fuel, lubricants, tire pressure and any unusual wear of equipment.
Keep equipment clean at all times.
Observe all on-the-job safety regulations.
Perform related work as assigned and/or required.
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or a high school diploma equivalent.
Hold and maintain an Indiana Driver’s License.
Ability to climb, lift, stoop, and withstand equipment vibrations.
Working knowledge and skill in the operation and maintenance of a variety or equipment, including, but not limited to, a one-ton dump truck, two-ton dump truck, and a pick-up truck.
Knowledge of traffic laws as they apply to vehicles and equipment.
Ability to serve as a working leader in the absence of direct supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to perform job duties under general supervision and independently.
Ability to Work overtime as required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions.
Work is performed on a variety of terrains, including slopes and trenches.
Employee occasionally may be exposed to fumes, exhaust, noise, vibrations, dust and dirt.
Employee is subject to random drug testing.
