IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 8THGRADERS:The window to request an intradistrict transfer is January 15 – February 15. If you are thinking about attending a high school other than your high school of residence you must apply for an intradistrict transfer. If you do not fill out the paperwork within the time line you will not likely receive the transfer. See Mrs. Slick if you have a question.
MUSEUMS FOR FREE ON SUNDAY 01.28.18:Museums Free-for-All is partnering with Metro, encouraging visitors to Go Metro to explore participating museums, many of which are a short walk from Metro bus or rail stops. Experience a day of art and culture without traffic and plan ahead of time onmetro.net. Go to to see all the museums that are taking part.
SOCIAL SKILL:This week’s social skill is making restitution.
DISNEYLAND FIELD TRIP: Thursday January 25th arrive at school at 8:00 a.m. Meet at flagpole, bring your cell phone, sack lunch and at least $30 for food.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE: The Perfect Attendance list for 2ndQuarter is posted outside of the Student Center. If you believe you received perfect attendance for 2ndQuarter but do not see your name on the list please see Carolina Humildad in the Student Center.Deadline for corrections is Wednesday, January 24th. – Mrs. Colunga.
Football decorating contest: In recognition of the upcoming Super Bowl, there will be a football helmet decorating contest in the library. Come get a paper helmet and decorate with your favorite team’s logo. Contest will end Wednesday, January 31stand winners announced on Friday, February 2nd BOYS & GIRLS CLUB:2018 Spring Day Camp- Come pick up a flyer at the student center for more details, dates and times. CHAMPION YOUTH SPORTS: is offering self-defense/safety awareness and soccer classes. Pick up a flier from the Student Center regarding registration or go online at HARKINS MOVIE TICKETS: PTSA is selling Harkins movie tickets every Thursday before and after school to help support music and drama boosters. Tickets are $8. Sales will take place at the east entrance gate between the main office and basketball courts CLEMENT USB DRIVES: 8GB drives available for $6. Go see Mrs. Fry in C-3 to purchase one.
