Description: This will be a non-residential practice period supported by instructions, Q&A and group interviews. Sayadaw will be encouraging people to participate in their normal work day during the week. The beginning weekend (7/18-7/19) will be intensive, with guided meditations, instructions and Q&A with U Tejaniya. Then, starting Monday, each person will be assigned to an interview group, and will see Sayadaw twice during the week. Friday will be a wrap-up day of Q&A. There will be very few formal sitting and walking periods offered at the center during the week, at Sayadaw's request. See reverse side for schedule details.

Sayadaw U Tejaniya instructs students to relax the body and relax the mind while paying close attention to the present moment’s experience. Sayadaw guides students in understanding the “nature” of the physical and mental experiences one is aware of. He encourages continuity of awareness in all activities and postures including sitting, walking at normal pace, talking (when necessary), eating and other general activities. His teaching style is particularly suited toward Western laymen and laywomen.

Biography: Sayadaw U Tejaniya started practicing and studying dhamma with his teacher the late Shwe Oo Min Sayadaw (the Gold Cave Hermitage Monastic Teacher) when he was thirteen years old. Ordained as a Buddhist monk for more than 10 years, he teaches meditation at Shwe Oo Min Dhammasukha Tawya in Yangon, Myanmar (Rangoon, Burma).
