General Summary:

The Instructional designer willevaluate, design/develop, administer, provide operational support, implement, restructure and/or repackaging of instructor-led, eLearning, mobile learning, paper based and video training solutions, as well as implementing process improvements.

EssentialFunctions and Responsibilities: (*PrincipalDuties)

  • Develop finished products including curriculum layout, lesson plans, training texts, videos, handouts, exercises, eLearning modules, surveys, quizzes or other knowledge attainment instruments, and instructor manuals
  • Create or revise existing specific content, organization, style, format, emphasis and treatment of each segment of the instructional courses or systems
  • Create and produce training videos by means ofdetailed storyboards, scripts, immersive and scenario-based training, and other advanced learning methodologies to meet the needs of the learners
  • Interact with subject matter experts in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum
  • Perform content editing according to David’s Bridal standards

Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Work Experience:

  • 2-5 years of instructional design
  • Experience working with HTML, Photoshop, ADDIE Model
  • Experience working with InDesign, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate

Analytical Skills:

  • Able to interpret information from multiple sources to make decisions
  • Thinks through advantages and disadvantages of a situation before making a decision

Organizational Skills:

  • Possesses strong sense of urgency (makes it happen)
  • Maintains records in a logical, user-friendly system

Results Orientation:

  • Able to focus individual and team efforts on achieving results
  • Identifies what needs to be done and does it before being asked or required by the situation

  • Shares opinions, concepts and information in a passionate and persuasive way
