Instruction:

Math: This week we are working on roundingto the nearest 10 or 100 using a Hundreds Chart and Number Lines.

Reading:

Wecontinueto implement the “Daily Café.

We are working on formulating questions with texts-- before we read to help us set a purpose and connect with what we already know, during our reading to keep us engaged with the text, and after reading to check our understanding and to draw conclusions. We then looked for evidence from the text to help us answer the questions. We are using the Question-Answer Relationships or QAR strategy. QAR outlines where information can be found "In the Text" or "In my Head." It then breaks down the actual question-answer relationships into four types: Right There, Think and Search, Author and Me, and On My Own.

Writing:
This week in writing we continue to plan and draft personal narratives.

Social Studies:

We continue learning about the Government (Federal and Local) the citizen and their roles and responsibilities and the three branches of government.
