GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The 8th NHS Helping Hands Art and Craft Fair takes place onNovember 7thandwe are in need of VOLUNTEERS!!!!If you would please consider helping us out, we would greatly appreciate any time that you could give! We're using VolunteerSpot to organize our sign-ups for the Helping Hands Art and Craft Fair on Saturday, November 7th:

Fundraiser for the Animal Shelter: students will be selling cupcakes, they will be charging 2 dollars for each cupcake, and 50 cents for each apple. They will be selling them before and after school, on the 18th, and19th of November.

Note on students getting jobs – all students under the age of 18 are required to obtain a work permit after they are hired, but before they start working. Work permits cost $10.00. The student is required to have a letter from the employer, showing that they have been hired, and a parent signature somewhere on that letter, and their social security card. They should bring all these things either to City Hall in Neenah, or to Mrs. Pierce at Door 3 at the high school to obtain the permit.

MONDAY:

The Debate Team will meet in the Library every Monday from 6pm-8pm. (Scotty Thurwachter)

Knitting Club meets Mondays from3:30 pm – 5:00 pmin room 322. (Mrs. Uvaas)

The Urban Farm Club will meet on Mondays in room 404. (Mrs. Dorschner or Mrs. Rogers)

The AFS Club meets on Monday after school in room 164B from3:25-3:45.(Mrs. Counter)

CONGRATULATIONS:

Cross Country – The Neenah boys placed 14th and the girls were 20th at last week’s WIAA state meet in Wisconsin Rapids.

Equestrian Team - The equestrian team placed second in Division A at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Horse Association championships last weekend in Madison, earning the Reserve Champion trophy. Chippewa Falls was the Grand Champion for the third consecutive year.

Girls Volleyball – The Rockets qualified for the WIAA state tournament for the 13th time overall and third time in four years with two victories last week.

Girls Swim/Dive - The Rockets had their streak of seven consecutive FVA titles snapped last weekend when they placed second in the conference meet at Neenah. Including season dual meet points, the Rockets totaled 522 points with Appleton North taking the title with 530 points. The 200-yard medley relay team of Kiki Rice, Hannah Blob, Rachel Resch and Gabby Mullalley set a conference record with a time of1:47:51. Rice added individual titles in the 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle, while Resch won the 100-yard butterfly.

*There will be a final Wrestling team pre-season meeting onMonday November 9th at 4:00 P.M.in Coach Rundquists Room #202. All individuals planning on wrestling during the 2015-2016 season must be in attendance.

*The wrestling hydration testing will take place onTuesday November 10th at 4:00in the varsity locker room. All team members must be plan to be present for the testing. Make-Up hydration testing is scheduled forThursday November 12th.
